You know how Harry didn;'t summon Kreacher because he wasn't sure if the elf was free from the thing that brings other people along?|
Well, I just re-read CoS, and it actually is, Because Dobby dissapparated when Harry was holding him.

CoS Ch. 10; 'The rogue bludger'
Spoiler:

'Dobby must go.' Breathed the elf, terrified; There was a loud crack and Harry's fist was suddenly clenched on thin air

(Sorry if theres already a thread like this)

Well spotted, if only Harry had you around to help him with that.

When Harry called for Kreacher in HBP, Dobby was dragged along. They were fighting with each other.

Elf magic is different than wizards... and perhaps Dobby made sure that Harry wasn't dragged along with him.

^ But then Kreacher could have made sure he didn't drag any DE's along as well, and Harry should have known that.

Perhaps elves can't apparate someone else out of Hogwarts, even though they can apparate themselves.

How should Harry have known that?

We know that Dobby didn't drag Harry along when he left purposely.
We know that Kreacher did drag Dobby along when he was summoned unexpectantly.
So if Kreacher was summoned unexpectedly again, would he have a choice if he took another being along with him?

Maybe they can only drag other house elves along with them. Or maybe just not humans.
