Chris Columbus; he made the first two movies phenomonal! If he came back for DH, I would, once again, be a fan of WB. _________________

| David Yates. He'll have done 5 & 6, so then he can adapt the seventh movie to those main parts, so then it'd be easier to decide what to leave out of DH. And anyway, he directed Order of the Phoenix well. |
well?
seriously?
i think he is horrrrrrible, leaves out everything necessary.

Chris Columbus did a really good job for the first 2 movies, in my opinion. I think he should direct. My second choice would be Peter Jackson. And I hear it's been decided? Oh well, still fun to dream. _________________

yeah, it's been decided... Yates is going to direct both parts of Deathly Hallows. This thread was started before that announcement was made. _________________

Wow. I assumed he'd be doing them but I didn't know for sure. I'm quite disgusted.. I didn't like how he handled Order of the Phoenix. It was an okay film but it lacked the magic of the previous HP films, and I really wish any of the previous directors (mainly Chris Colombus) would have got the final parts of the series.
I feel crushed by this, really, I loved all of the movies up until OOTP. It's good but not great. Well there's nothing we can do about it, so I hope he doesn't mess things up any further.
Another thing I hated about OOTP is the lack of detail. What I mean is, in the previous films there was so much little things to spot. Stuff like the ghosts and portraits around Hogwarts and easter eggs like the portrait of Gandalf in Dumbledore's study, the house-elves at the Quidditch World Cup and other little cool things that most people do not see but are interesting to find.
Well basically, I'd rather any of the previous directors had the DH films. I'm disappointed this jockey has the job again. |
