I'm not very familar with her. But I have heard one very good song by her. The song title may sound weird...but the song is 10x not as weird.

I Kissed A Girl-Kate Perry is the song, download it and listen!

They never really sound all that great live.

I'm sick of that song, "I Kissed a Girl". They play it like every freakin hour on the radio and TV.

As for the topic...

Horrible singer. Horrible song.

I like a few of her songs, and they're pretty cool.
She seems like a cool person and all but
she's pretty terrible live.
If you search on youtube she slips on a cake after
performing I Kissed a Girl. It was really funny.
I think it was in Mexico but I'm not sure.
Search it up though, it's hilarious.

I also thought she was a model when I first saw her.

She's a good singer ( almost sounds like Celine Dion ) . Believe it or not the only song I like of hers is Hot N Cold. ( I was going to post a topict about her but you beat me! LOL ) I like the way she sings but not the songs. For some reason, I think she's gay because the songs : I kissed a girl and You're so gay!

Has it been played frequently in front of little kids? Confused
One summer I was a camp counselor when that song...Hot in Here... when the words got to "take off all your clothes," the little girls would shred off their clothes to reveal their bathing suits. Then there was the Thong Song that they all did dances to. Honestly, if all they are hearing are songs about how some chick kissed another chick, then that is by far not the worst thing they could be hearing. The fact that they are hearing this song and actually like it is by far more disturbing than anything else. The song is awful....

My breakdown of the lyrics...

It's not what I'm used to, just wanna try you on.
I'm curious for you, caught my attention.
So, you were just going to use her for your own selfish, curious reasons?

[Chorus:]
I kissed a girl and I liked it,
the taste of her cherry chapstick.
For some reason.. cherry chapstick just doesn't evoke femininity in my mind. Maybe if she sang cherry lipgloss, perhaps.
I kissed a girl just to try it,
I hope my boyfriend don't mind it.
Oh, so she cheated. Great. That's real cool.
It felt so wrong,
it felt so right.
Don't mean I'm in love tonight.
I kissed a girl and I liked it (I liked it).

No, I don't even know your name, it doesn't matter.
It doesn't? Most respectable people like to at least learn the person's name before walking up to them and putting their mouth against them. Oh well, watch out for herpes!
You're my experimental game, just human nature.
