again, i dont know if anyone ever made a topic about this but whatevs.

It came to me all of a sudden. Remember when Ron sort of had a little crush on Fleur? and how he asked her out to the Yule Ball.. but Fleur kinda snobbed him off. and then Bill ends up marrying her. k, i would seriously find that totally awkward that a girl you asked out and completely embarrassed yourself in front of to be living with you and marrying your brother. i'd be so humiliated and never want to look at her again.. but that's just me. what do you guys think?

That has definitely gotta be awkward for Ron. He asks out the girl and basically humiliates himself in the process. Then, he discovers his brother is dating her. He continues to have a crush on her, despite the fact the she is engaged to his brother. Then, this girl, who he has a crush on and constantly embarrasses himself in front of, goes and marries your brother and becomes your sister-in-law who let's you stay over their newlywed house whenever he needs. He gotta feel more than a little awkward.
I'm not sure if she does, though. He was probably just one out of many boys who has fellen for the half-veela. She's probably used to it and doesn't even remember that he was one of the many guys (I'm assuming) that asked her to the dance.

Hey, good observation. Never occurred to me until now. I've just realised how humiliating it would be. If I was Ron, I would want to crawl under a rock and never re-surface. After all, it was only a crush and I think Ron had more important things in his mind than to worry about Fleur.

I think that even though it might have still been a bit awkward, at the time Ron had much more important things on his mind to keep him occupied. Like figuring out if he really did love Hermione and not to mention going on with Harry to find the Horcruxes!! =]

If you ask me I don't think it was a crush. Ron is a little sort of blunt emotionally sometimes. Fleur's veela-aura takes advantage of this despite herself and seduces him. I think it's all for the looks, not a crush or something. Rowling put Fleur in the books to give Hermione a reason to hate veelas. Very Happy

but if u remember that in Goblet of fire when harry rescued gabriel (fleur's sister) fleur was kissing ron an hugging him which kind of makes it seem like she had forgiven him a forgotten about him asking that, and also im sure so many other people would have asked her anyway

I've been wondering about this, and it must be awkward, but I think Ron's over it after his feelings for Hermione grew.

Because that's when Bill and Fleur first get together.
