no potions master its not silly to cry because a character dies. these characters are almost as real as live people.

then whats the point of literature if the characters dont seem real to you that you dont empathize with them?

the only times i cried was when cedric, and dumbledore, died.........
there was to much going on in the book so it wasnt that good of a dying scene (if that made any sense)
i will probably end up crying during the movie tonight!!!!!!!!!!!
(only 6 hours and 20 min)

I honestly did. I just had surgery and woke up early from the pain. Of course I decided to finish reading (cause I had a couple of chapters to go). When I read that part, I cried and was mad. I loved his character and plus it was the only family he really had. So that part did not make me feel any better. Sad

I was upset by Sirius's but I knew it was going to happen so it didn't really shock me. Cedric's got me nearly teary as his dad cried. Dumbledore's I also got teary, especially as everyone the book was as well.

My brother spoiled it for me, so I don't think it hit me hard enough that I cried. Still, it took a while to get over it.

I didn't cry, but I sure was sad. I had kind of hoped (probably like a lot of other people) that Harry could go live with him and be happy, but that didn't happen. *sigh*

sobbed and almost refused to read the rest of the book. Sirius was my favourite character, and he was even the lucky guy who gained my love in this fandom of mine. Honestly, why did he have to go??????

I didn't cry. But when I saw the movie I remember looking over to see one of my friends full on crying. Haha.

I don't know I just didn't really find it THAT saddening. Call me cold hearted or whatever but I was never really fond of Sirius.

I was sad when I read the book, but I choked up in the movie. It's hard to see people reacting when a loved one dies, especially in the manner in which Sirius died.

I think Daniel Radcliffe acted that scene out very well.

After a character dies I pretty much sit there for five minutes just thinking of what they did in the other books and how they will be remembered. When Dumbledore died though I sat for quite a while and thought about it.

I became really(1000x)extremely sad. I was on the verge of tears. Especially like the mirror and Nick, when Harry is finding ways on how to be with Sirius again. It all failed and that made me feel like Harry...that made me feel alone,, and like Harry, I can't accept the fact.
