What minor character/s in your opinion have the potential to be a good addition to the main plot of the series?

Ginny Weasley: I wanted Harry and Ginny to hook up ever since COS. I think JKR could have made better use of her before HBP.

Lee Jordan: I'm hoping we'll see Jordan again in the 7th book. I think he was hilarious when he did commentary for the Quidditch matches.

Petunia Dursley: I thought for sure that Jo was going to explain how Petunia knew about Death Eaters in the 6th book. But as far as I remember, it wasn't even mentioned.

Off the top of my head, that's all I can think of now. Might add more later.

I agree with you about Petunia she's going to develop into someone who is more important to the story line, but Lee Jordan is just a flat character designed as the twin's partner in crime.

I hope that Slughorn will come out of the backseat and effect the story, not just the characters.

Neville might become a lot more powerful in the seventh book.

Those are two characters who I hope will develop the most.

lee jordan should definetly appear again, he's very funny, but i dont think he should become complex or have effect on the plot.

ginny and harry's relationship is extremely underdeveloped. i hated their relationship for a long time and now im starting to accept it because they would be good together, but it is portrayed so badly in the book! fan fic is better! cmon thats just sad!

neville should stay as he is. he's already come to the department of mysteries! thats the limit of neville for me.

Yeah I also think that we have not seen all there is to Petunia Dursley. I believe that she knows more about wizards than she is letting on.

I also believe that Ginny should recieve a bit more character development, because did we find out if she ever became a prefect in her fifth year.

Also, did anyone notice that when Mrs Weasley comes across the Boggart and sees her family and Harry dead in front of her, that she does not see Ginny dead, I wonder why that is.

Good question!

Id like to see more of Neville, I think he has a bigger part in the whole plot, I feel there is a big secret surrounding Neville. Or that because he is portrayed as quite timid and unsure of himself, he will prove himself as a wizard and turn out to be more important and heroic than anyone thinks.

I agree that Petunia knows more than she is letting on, it will be interesting to see how she fits into the plot apart from being Harrys Aunt.

Aberforth Dumbledore - maybe not as part of the main plot but Id like to at least see him in one chapter - hes a bit of a mystery.

Definitely Ginny and the Weasley twins and also Dumbledore, we know nothing about his past really, only that he has a brother named Aberforth, that he defeated Grindelwald in 1945 and created the Philosopher's Stone together with Flamel.

I'd also love to know a bit more about Neville seeing as the prophecy could also have meant him ...

I think Spider-Man will get all the character development he needs in the new Spider-man 3 movie.

In the mean time, i agree that Neville does need some character development, especially since he is in some way connected to the prophecy. Even though Voldie chose Harry, i still think Neville has a big role to play in the last movie.

Pockets has something against Wolverine and too mock him he just randomly says his name. Don’t be surprised if we start seeing random posts with just the text “Wolverine”. Laughing

I think neville will play a much larger and important role in the next book.

i want to learn more about snape because apart from the fact he treats harry unfairly and is pretty much a jerk he is the most mysterious and interesting character. I love reading anything about moody, wormtail, padfoot, and prongs and i guess sevarus goes with this package. the way hBp ended JKR could go in any direction with snape, whether or not he is good (Im sure he is)

Yeah i really want to know Snape's history. His past life as a Death Eater and how he earned Dumbledore's trust.

Well yeah, I think there's a lot more to her than being loony. She's quite loyal, as she came to Harry's aid twice even if it was dangerous, and that's a big thing. She'll definitley have a big role, considering she's become quite a good friend of Harry's.

Yes, Id like to see more of Luna, shes one of my favourite characters.
I agree she could have a bigger part in the last book, she shouldnt be underestimated because she comes across as dizzy and in a world of her own.
She just has a different perspective of life to the others in my opinion. Someone with an imagination like hers must have more to them than meets the eye.
I like the fact she never seems surprised by anything that happens, as if she expects it all.
Shes a great character, and I hope we see more of her.

Personally, I'd like to see more of a developement in Harry and Remus Lupins relationship. After all the people Harry has lost---his parents, Sirius, and Dumbledore---Remus is the only person that Harry has left that links to his parents. I would like to see more of that.

I'd also like it if JKR delved into Petunia Dursleys character more as well. To me, her personality and role in the story is a little unfinished.

Also, I'd like to learn more about Lily Potter. We always hear so much about James, but never Lily. I hope that JKR talks about her more in the last book.

LEE JORDAN.!!! I just love Lee. Of course...that may be because my name is Lee also...but I'm a girl.
No, no i like Lee and he deserves more developement. Jo does have a knack for blowing a person's background up at you at unexpected times. I thought Myrtle was just some side character, but she wasn't. She played quite an important role, don't you think?
Other people to be developed:
Luna (i love Luna she's so...interesting!)
Lily
James
Dumbledore (Like...his childhood)
Dumbledore's brother...what's his name?
Regulas Black (It is a possibility that he is R.A.B)
