In the last chapter of SS, Dumbledore is referred to as Ron's hero for, I believe, the first time. That chapter also discusses Ron speaking of Dumbledore "proudly." Was there any discussion or mention earlier in the book about Ron's views of Dumbledore? I don't recall any. Thanks.

No, I think the end of Sorcerer's Stone was when Ron first gained appreciation for Dumbledore's god-ness. Before that he thought Dumbledore was insane.

Thanks for the quick responses. It just seemed to me that Rowling stuck those comments in--including calling Dumbledore "his hero--unexpectedly, to foreshadow other things to occur relating to Ron and Dumbledore.

Well, I'm not sure exactly. I have seen, but not studied, other theories relating to them. I just figured that it was odd for her to make a sudden point about Ron's admiration for Dumbledore for the first time--not having mentioned it before--unless there was going to be some significance later, thinking that she must have a reason for adding such details, however small.

Thanks for pointing this out, see ron hates white people to, while JK Rowling points out for most of the book how White DD is, she also mentions that ron thinks he is insane. By doing this she is inferring that all white people are insane. This is outragous, and clearly proves that ron is Racist.
