When you were watching the frist movie, did you ever think the plot would end up the way it did?
I certainly didn't.
You would never guess that the whole thing would turn so dark and in a way, much more 'grown up'.
Its such a big contrast between the first and the 5th movie I can't actually believe it!

Did anyone think the story would end up how it did?
Very Happy

Well, even when I was seven, I always knew Harry would have to do something about Voldemort. But everything that's happened between the first and fifth films, no, I didn't. But then again, I didn't think Yates would screw up OotP as much as he did. Rolling Eyes

What was so wrong with OOTP in your opinion?

Maybe because it was the longest book, yet shortest film?

i am totally amazed with JK Rowlings talent.
she started out with one main idea but the story is soo complicated and there are all these little parts that all come together that have really been there since the first one that we would have never thought about.
she is a genious.

Yes, I did think it would get so dark, because the books got consistently darker. Potter fans knew from the very beginning that the movies would get darker as they went along.

I think Davis Yates is better than third movie director Alfonso Cuarón and fourth movie director Mike Newell, but Chris (1st and 2nd movie director) is the better of them all. But I was reading in Wikipedia that for HBP, the screenwriter Steve Cloves, who wrote all scripts except for OoTP, will be back for the last films! Yay!

I think if you compared the works of Columbus and Yates, Yates would drown in his own self-pity for how much of a screw up he was on OotP.
