hp 5 was good - im a big hp fan anyway - but they left out absolutely LOADS of stuff from the book. now im thinking that because the rest of the books mention things that have in the previous books there will be a lot missing out of hp 6 and 7. when i finished deathly hallows the first thing i thought was i cant wait to see the film they make from this! that was before i saw hp 5. when i saw it i was a bit disappointed. heres a list of all the stuff they missed out.
petunia's howler from dumbledore - "rememba my last"
ron's quidditch moments and "weasley is our king" hedwig getting injured in history of magic. dumbledores long speech with harry at the end - this one was the worst. its ok if uve read the books you know wots happenin. but how are our mums dads and little siblings suposed to understand???
harry and his year taking their OWLS all the extra stuff in the ministry - e.g. the brains and the extra doors. hermione doing her flagrate.....
if ive missed anything out plz add it thanks

_________________ Pure Gryffindor...
Unfortunetly, no matter how the next two Harry Potter movies turn out, the diehard fans will be dissapointed. In order to do justice to the books, the film makers would have to make the movies in two parts or shoot a mini series. However, this would greatly eat into the profit margin and would not make that much a difference in terms of enjoyment level to casual Harry Potter fans. This may be a cynical view, but I feel the HP movie people seem to be driven more by money rather than for the love of the series. I feel that as a stand alone movie OotP was good, but when compared to the book, it was pretty bad.
I understand that for time they cannot add in every character and have to abbreviate event and I have no problem with this. Like how they made Cho the one who ratted out Dumbledore's Army. Or how Sirius and not Moody showed Harry the original photo of the OotP.
However, WHY THE HELL do they make changes on integral parts taken right from the book? I mean who can just break down the wall in the RoR? And why in the final battle with Dumbledore and Voldemot was there a huge fight with glass shards instead of DD bewitching the statues. I was so looking forward to seeing that and instead had to sit through a made up and choreographed fight that the screen writer invented. So gross.
Unless a director who actually enjoys the books is cast and Warner Bros. is willing to only make 750 million instead of 1.3 billion of the movies then I'm afraid this is what we will be stuck with. Abbreviated story plot lines, drastically altered fight scenes, and only a tantalizing taste of how awesome harry potter on screen could be.

It's the fault of the new screenwriter. _________________

The things you swore, they never made me feel anymore
well.i think the worst thing they didn't mention in the movie is the part with Nevil and the Proffecy. As I remember the proffecy sayed that the boy who was born in the end of Juli is going to be a threath for Voldemort. _________________ Mahogany, 13 inches, pliable, excellent for Transfiguration.

Mahogany is known to be excellent for transfiguration and makes a great tool for warding off the Dark Arts.
I think the part Harry, a 15-year-old kid, tried to mediate the fight between Sirius and Snape and ended with Mr Weasley getting in and everyone stayed still is quite dramatic. How could they take that away.
I missed all the time Ginny spent with Harry, having fun with Tonks in Grimmauld Place, told Harry he's not possessed by Voldy. I especially treasure the moment she and Harry eating Easter eggs in the library and scolded by Miss Pine. They were so cute.
well ive read all the books and seen all the movies to date but my partner has not read the books and she said she found it really hard to tie in ootp to the rest of the movies because alot of it didnt make sense to her. it was ok for me i could fill in the blanks because i have read the book but we spent the whole car ride home with me telling her how the book went and why things in the movie happened that didnt seem to make sense to her but made sense to me _________________

Also, the occlumency lessons began AFTER christmas in the book, but in the movie they begin after harry sees mr. weasley's disaster.
plus, the whole thing with young snape was seen via pensieve in the book, but using occlumency against Snape in the movie. _________________ IT'S MORPHIN TIME!

For me the thing I didn't like most was that they left out the conversation between Harry and the Dursleys about how Voldemort had returned and how things would affect them. It really showed how the wizard world affected the muggle world because of Voldemort and showed Harry and them bonding a little for a change. _________________ CLICK!
They also left out a vital part whilst they were all staying at Grimmauld Place; when they are clearing out the cuboards and they find the locket and chuck it!
Spoiler:
I wonder how are they are going to do the whole 'search for the locket' [the 4th horcrux] in Grimmauld Place seeing as the part where they are cleaning up and find it in the first place isn't in this film, let along the locket even being mentioned.
