I hope it will be as long as possible so they don't break away any important parts, their priorities for everything should be big, so I'm expecting 5 hours AT LEAST all together. They will only be separated like 6 months so it's not such a big deal... I think.

as long as the films aren't too long... I mean I fell asleep during LOTR... and I'm one of the biggest Tolkien fans ever...

I think around 2 hours each would be cool Smile

Each movie should be about 3 hours. I don't see them getting much longer than that.

Although the films have to appeal to the general public, there is such a large HP following, that if the both films topped at at almost 3 hours, millions of people would still go see it.

Plus, because of how dense the plot is in the Deathly Hallows, six total hours seems reasonable. Maybe a little more.

you gotta think about the people who will be watching the films... kids aged 7 - 11 aint really gunna wanna sit through 6 hours of a film... they'd get mored and restless... also a 3 hour long film, if they were in a cinema, they'd be annoying everyone else there....

130 minutes each...at a minimum. They need to include everything possible in these movies.

Since Yates and the screen writers would be quite literally begging (not asking) for death wishes, I think he will finally come to his senses (yeah right) about the last film and make each part about two and a half to three hours long...

But with Yates and how unbelievably bad he made the fifth film, I think that may be stretching it a bit too much. Sad really. Rolling Eyes Sad

I'm sure GinnyX wasn't exactly talking about those who post on these forums, but those in general who just watch the news extra carefully when it comes to Harry Potter and that's it. On PotterForums, we're all dedicated to the marvelous series in some way or another; we just all have different ways of showing it.

i think it would've been better to make it a tv series, you know, like grey's anatomy and stuff. that way they could make it as long as they want and they wouldnt have to take out so much stuff.

That would be weird. But it's better as a movie because sometimes TV series get boring, plus I don't watch the tele much at all.

i think it should be three-four hours lol, I mean it's the last movie we are talking about here Rolling Eyes so it's a good thing it's divided into two parts.

I can't stand long films, so I'd say about 135 minutes long for each part.
