The original soundtrack and the play itself was way so much better.

He just wasn't a compelling enough love interest. I found myself rooting for the Phantom. Not just because of him.... but he didn't help the case.

Phantom/Christine FTW!!!

Spoiler:

(Dramatic music)

(Christine)
In sleep he sang to me,
In dreams he came,
that voice which calls to me,
and speaks my name!

and do i dream again?'
for now i find,
The Phaaaaantom of the Opera is here,
inside my mind!

(Phantom)
Sing once again with me,
our strange duet,
my power over you,
grows stronger yet!

and though you turn from me,
to glance behind,
the Phaaaantom of the Opera is there,
inside your mind,

(Christine)
those who have seen your face
(Phantom)
draw back in fear
(Christine)
I am the mask you wear
(Phantom)
it's me they here

(Both)
My spirit and my voice,
in one combined,
the Phaaaaaantom of the Opera is there,
inside your mind!

(Phantom)
in all your fantasies
you always knew
(Phantom)
that man and mystery
(Christine)
are both in you

(Both)
and in this labyrinth,
where night is blind,
the Phaaaantom of the Opera is there
inside your mind

(Dramatic music)

I am not remotely interested in Broadway plays, or for that matter, plays in general.

I dont like plays much either, or broadway plays. Some are fine, but this was just to much.

why not? live performances bring an energy to a story that movies just can't duplicate. I wish I had more play opportunities around here...especially for musicals.

you would be surprised alastor what plays and musicals there are out there. i am a horror buff and ive seen advertisments for dracula, evil dead <3, and oo sweeny todd is pretty dark.

im sure theres something in the genre of your choice also.
