Overall the critics have been pretty harsh on Pirates. Regardless, it's gonna be a hit.

I'd like to know why some people base whether or not they see a movie from what a critic says. What one person might feel is a crappy movie, another may think it's great. I for one never allow a critic to tell me what movies are good and which ones aren't. I decide that for myself.

Well, its true that different people have different opinions, but those critics have a lot of experience and are quite good at their job. What we get from several different sources is a general view of a movie. Critics turn out to be right most of the time. I don't just see what the critics say, but I also ask people who've seen a movie before me.

I'm going to watch POTC 2 , anyway, since I liked the first one, it's worth watching the movie just for Jack Sparrow.

Actually critics pretty much say what some of us want to say but enable to get into words, like if someone asked me how Click was I’d just say it sucked but the critic would go into detail and point out all it’s flaws. Critics are pretty much always right (but not all the time, like they said a movie like Kung Pow sucked!), it’s because of them regular movie goers know what to expect from a movie, since I saw and liked the first movie I’m going to see the second but I do sometimes listen to critics and wait till certain movies come out on DVD and when I watch them I find myself usually agreeing with the critics. If it were up to the regular viewer to decide what the greatest movie of all time was, American Pie would be in the top ten while Citizen Kane wouldn’t even make the list.

I went to the Midnight showing of it. It was really good, but a little confusing. Regardless, i really liked it. Can't wait for the 3rd one.

Cool, it’s a better movie overall, the only thing that Pirates 2 is better than in it is comedy.

I just saw it yesterday! It was very good, but I've gotta say that if you see this one, you will have to see the 3rd because this one just leaves you hanging. I won't say more than that though because I don't want to spoil anything for anyone.

Well, I just read that POTC 2 broke the record for an opening weekend. It made something like $132 million. It broke the first Spider-Man's total of $114 from 2002. And it sold the most tickets ever in a 3 day opener with 20 million. Not too bad... Cool

i saw the second and it was AWESOME!!!!! i cant wait till the next one comes out. they said that it is already filmed and is coming out next may. i cant wait!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Razz

No, but that would be awesome Smile

I was a little dissappointed by it. I mean, it was still an awesome movie but I expected so much more....Like in the first there were a lot of action "piratey" scenes, this...it just seemed to drag on and there was only one major sword fight and kracken incident. The graphics were amazing though! Jone's crew was just awesome.

Awesome movie! Great action, adventure, acting, special effects, and the same old humor. Johnny Depp is a riot as always and Orlando Bloom is good and so is Kiera Knightly. Davy Jones was pretty neat but not as good as Barbossa...and speaking of which I am so glad he is back. He'll make the 3rd movie spectacular and bring back some of the old Pirates stuff that I knew. Great movie overall and I can't wait for World's End!

I watched it, I don't know why but I still liked the firsyt one better. Maybe it was the storyline or the actors. I mean it was great and everything but it was like something was missing Confused
