Okay, I thought we needed a thread for Final Fantasy fans, (although I know only three, including myself). Well I hope more FF fans join the forum, and if they do it'll be useful. So anyone else a fan?

How can you hate Rikku?? Well, I can understand if you hate her from X-2, but do you just hate her in general?

Meh, I hated her whole attitude and rarely used her in battle; she’s an overrated character just like FFVII is an overrated game. The only characters I liked from X were Tidus, Auron, and Yuna (hated her in X-2).

Oh, i just love Rikku! She's real pretty(yes, I know she's not real). Well, I guess she might not be that useful in battle, and gets a little overexcited sometimes, but you just have to love her. Very Happy

Ok I am getting pretty sick of asking this question but what is the 411 on FF? I once watched FF: The Spirit within on channel 5 and the graphics were great - my sister first thought they were people Rolling Eyes

anyways I don't get what you guys say about the series - are they even the same series?Urgh I am so Confused

I posted this before but I think you missed it.

There are many Final Fantasy games (over XII as of now in the main series) and each one of them has their own story with new characters that in no way relates to the previous games (except for X-2). Final Fantasy games have recurring themes such as rebellion against a major economic, political, or religious power, a struggle against an evil which threatens to overtake or destroy the world, or nature versus technology. The love between major characters, from Final Fantasy IV's Cecil Harvey and Rosa Farrell to Final Fantasy X's Tidus and Yuna, as well as the death of major (and sometimes playable) characters, also drive the plot. Story wise-think of most of the games as interactive books.

There's also some more minor similarities between all the games. There's a character called Cid in every game. Although he is never the same individual, he is usually presented as an owner, creator, and/or pilot of airships. In a similar vein, characters named Biggs and Wedge (homages to the Star Wars characters Biggs Darklighter and Wedge Antilles) have appeared in FFVI to Final Fantasy X-2. Finally, fictional creatures such as Chocobos and Moogles have appeared in most games in the series.

P.S. Pockets, how good do you think FF XIII is going to be?

Hocrux, in short Final Fantasy is a video game series. None of them have the same plot or characters with the exception being Final Fantasy X-2(Ten-2 is the sequel to Final Fantasy X).

However, the movie Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children,(released April 2006 in the US) is connected to the game(Final Fantasy VII). The movie is set two years after the events in the game, so you have to play the game in order to understand the movie.

Yeah, it might not have good graphics, but the storyline and gameplay are good.

I think FF is cool, but it's kind of an oxymoron. I mean, the name is "FINAL Fantasy", yet they've made like, 12 games.

When they were making the first Final Fantasy game they thought it would be their last game since they were on the verge of bankruptcy.

Final Fantasy was developed during Square's brush with bankruptcy in 1987. In a display of gallows humor, producer / director Hironobu Sakaguchi declared that his final game would be a fantasy RPG, hence the title. Far from being Square's final game, however, Final Fantasy proved to be a major success in Japan, not only saving Square from bankruptcy, but presenting them with the second most popular RPG franchise in the country.

I agree with u Pockets_full_of_crap..FF XI is the best..
Its 2d but has an excellent story.. FF X was good 2..
Rikku is actually kinda sweet... Hey horcrux.. Dont be discouraged,
even if u rnt good with the PC, you still make a good PC gamer.. Wink

I'm not sure.. My 1st team was Cyan, Sabin, Terra, and celes.. My friend insisted on choosing them and it was a good team.. But i like Locke too.
I really dont have a single favourite character.. All 5 of these guys were good.. Anyways who's your favourite?
