I don't even know if I'd heard of hp by then...I know for awhile I was all like nooo its popular get it away from me lol. I wish I'd gotten into from the start though.

Well, CoS wasn't released until June 2, 1999 in America. I hadn't heard of them yet, either . . .  Now it's hard to imagine life without Potter.

oh wow. 10 years....Geeze. i didnt read them from the start. i started looking into them and starting to read them in like...3rd grade (6 years ago)....but i didnt start really reading them till around the time the 3rd movie came out on......VHS? lol.

I actually didn't get hooked on harry potter until fourth grade...which i believe 2 books were out by then. maybe 3, idk. our teacher always would read to us the last 10-15 minutes or fridays. and midway through the year that was our book...and i got hooked

Thank Merlin for J.K. Rowling and her out-of-this-world imagination! I've been an avid reader of the Potter series since the absolute beginning and I don't regret a single moment of it! It's like being in a serious relationship with someone you love entirely...

Good thing you found out about it soon enough. There are probably a ton of people on here that didn't get into it until OotP the book came out.
