Gabrielle Delacour(Fleur delacours sister) in the books is described as no older than 8 or 9.

then what was she doing at hogwarts? i mean, she shouldnt even be in school yet, assuming French witches and wizards also start school at age 11. (or was it 12?)...first i thought she was there because her sister was a tri wizard champion....then i thought how did she know her sister was to be chosen?? and she cant be in school...shes only 9! (again assuming that french witches and wizards go to school at age 11-12.

dont be alarmed or to interested...this will probably have no important significance in the last book...in fact im guessing that she wont even be mentioned...maybe a little part and fleurs and bills wedding. her name was never even mentioned in the goblet of fire.

so any thought?

she shouldnt have been in the beauxbatons entry to the great hall, but she would have been brought in for the triwizard tournament as the thing fleur would miss most.

Actually is she mentioned in the book before the 2nd task? If not she may just arrive Hogwarts for the purpose of teh 2nd task...

In the book she isn't mentioned until the 2nd task. They brought her in for the person Fleur would miss the most.
In the movie they have her enter in the beginning.... which was weird and unecassary, I think.

I don't know how important she'll be, but we'll see her again at the wedding, I guess.

the people who make the movies always get rid of or add things from the story. This is stupid in my opinion because why would you make a harry potter movie if you are going to change things.
Gabrielle is really cute and I am sure she's going to leave the story after the wedding.

she is only mentioned after the 2nd task is done, when both sisters thank harry. her sole purpose was being there as the thing fleur would miss the most.

I'm pretty sure she was there with her parents and since she was the person fleur would miss most...well they put her in the water
