But he's going to be back in the DH movie because he's got to do the portrait scenes (I'll assume he'll start attacking Snape from his portrait) and scenes of when Snape came to Dumbledore for forgiveness and their plot to protect Harry etc etc. So we haven't seen the last of Gambon-Dumbledore... UNFORTUNATELY
I miss Richard Harris... Though I always have to tune my sound up when he starts speaking but I love his acting as Dumbledore... _________________ Slytherin.

There's some fundamental flaw with the new Dumbledore that I can't quite put my finger on. It's either that, or the previous (1st one) was so perfect that anything else just doesn't work. I think it may be the latter. _________________

I find nothing bad about Gambon. Maybe his only bad part is that he is shown as kinda over-reactive for Dumbledore at some scenes (did you put your name in the Goblet of Fire?! /spank) and that he doesn't wear glasses. That's all. *shrug* _________________ Fact 1: Moody rocks your socks. And mine too.

Gambon is a good actor and plays Harry Potter well, but he's like Nightwish, if you know the band. Their old singer left and a new one came, and no matter how many years pass their new one will be "not as good as the old one". I think it's a similar situation. The previous Dumbledore was much more like Dumbledore (He had a huge beard, man) and Gambon doesn't resemble him as much so they compare him to the previous one, sticking the "LOSER!" label on him, just because he isn't as good as the old one. thats a horrible thing to say so you don't like his portrayl no need to say your happy to see him die horrible. I agree he's too rough for dumbledore but I have a feeling this movie he will be more dumbledore like - judging from the trailer.
ok well this week i came home one day from school and got on the computer and signed into msn. windows live messenger came up saying the trailer was out for harry potter. i started squealing with excitment. i called in my sister and we sat down and watched the trailer. the first thing my sister mentioned is how non agressive dd seems. my sister seems to think that the director and people may have an epifany saying that people dont like it how dd is soo agressive. in the trailer dd looks really laid back and how dd is meant to be. i am quite excited o see how he preforms in this movie. i hope he is like how dd is meant to be finally. well that is my hope. _________________

yes, I suppose that is true... but since the first DD died, and the new movie was coming up so soon, the casting directors probably had little time and room to pick a new DD. I think that they did particularly well under the circumstances, but I do agree that Richard is hands down the best DD for HP. lmaO i totally agree this dumbledore is always yelling he doesnt remind me of a gentle wise wiszard that we learned to love in the HP books. i really miss the old dumby =( _________________

hmm yeh i agree, he isnt calm or gentle. i wish the other one hadnt died. but i dont hate the new dd i just like the old one better. _________________
