Just curious, i haven't read the book in a while but how dod voldy get the little decrepit body that was used to bring him back to full power? can't remember, it ever being explained

It was dug from his father's grave I think. And then he got the blood from Harry and Pettigrew's arm

but he was talking and was in a child like state in the movie, at the begining of the movie and book too he speaks while sitting in the chair in the riddle house

right, he had a form, just not the whole body he craved. the spell just gave him a complete body.

Here's what we know about it - from Voldemort's own words (GoF ch. 33):

"...Wormtail was able to follow the instructions I gave him, which would return me to a rudimentary, weak body of my own, a body I would be able to inhabit while awaiting the essential ingredients for true rebirth... a spell or two of my own invention... a little help from my dear Nagini," Voldemort's red eyes fell upon the continually circling snake, "a potion concocted from unicorn blood, and the snake venom Nagini provided... I was soon returned to an almost human form, and strong enough to travel."

Ok thats what i was looking for... i guess he must have possessed someone at some point in time to tell wormtail how to do the magic required to give hime the rudimentary form.
