Every one knows that ron was afraid of spiders. In that book it says that his brothers transform his pillow to a spider when he was 3 years old.So his twins brothers were 4.First a child shows its magics skills after 8 and secondly at first year Harry who was 11 years old tried to transform a pin to a match. How could a 4 year old children to do this to ron`s pillow?

Im pretty sure that they could still do magic but couldnt control it well. Like how Voldy used it to scare the other kids at the orphanage. I dont know when he started being able to do things to scare the other children thought. I dont think that the little boy at the Triwizard Tornamant was over 8 though and he was able to inlarge slugs by using his dads wand without knowing any real spells. So I dont think its really a mistake but that they had somehow gotten their mom or dads wand and prodded the pillow until it changed into what they wanted. And please correct me if Im wrong but wasnt it his teddy bear they changed anyway? Sorry if I just confused you lol

If Ron was 3 years old.. then the Twins were most likely ... 5, not 4.
It doesn't say anywhere that 8 years old is the magic number for performing magic.
And, loony lovegood said, underage magic is often uncontrolled. And the child making the slug bigger is a good example.
Harry was able to make his hair grow back longer overnight and make glass disappear all before he was 11 years old.
At Hogwarts the students learn more spells. During the summers they are expected to control their magic.
You can't expect a 5 year old child to be perfectly behaved all the time, especially when they don't know how to control their magic.

Also, Lily was able to make things happen on purpose before she even knew she was a witch, and she never heard any proper spells before. Fred and George were two intelligent children who grew up exposed to magic. They could easily have learned some mediocre magic just by being around people.

agreed. its just like playing board games as children. you might not know all the exact rules, but you know the basics.

I believe magic could be produced through the hands of as early as a one-year-old. But like it's said before, it's not controlled.
