I would think The Dark Knight before The Mummy.
I have zero desire to see the Mummy movie. I think they should be careful underestimating that people will want to see that movie just for the trailer, since they must know we can get it the next day on youtube. But if they pair it up with a movie that people are more anxious to see, like The Dark Knight, then it would be beneficial. Even Happy Feet... it was a cute movie and everyone loves penguins, so it wasn't like you were sacrificing 10 bucks and a few hours of boredom. You would be surprised...
What I mean is... It's one thing to see a movie that you were sort-of considering seeing. But now that everyone pretty much has youtube or other means of getting the trailer, running out and spending 10 dollars on a movie ticket to see something you have zero desire to see isn't going to be as common as they think it will be. It would seem our streak of good news has come to an end, as Coming Soon.com is reporting today they have confirmed the trailers that will be shown before the new Batman film, “The Dark Knight,” and a teaser trailer for “Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince” is NOT among those listed. Putting an end to the earlier rumors that at long last we might see a teaser trailer for the sixth Harry Potter film, Coming Soon also speculates that they believe it might be shown as late as August 15, in front of “Star Wars: The Clone Wars,” however that is unconfirmed at this time. So its back to the waiting and guessing time again folks, sorry!
AUGUST? AUGUST! wtf are they playing at? that's only two months before the movie! we had the Get Smart trailer a full year ahead of its release! OotP was released at Christmas! This guy was frozen for 30 years and he suggests to use a laser to destroy the atmosphere layer unless the world pays him money.
