C.S. Lewis, yes.

I like The Seer and the Sword best.

Narnia would have been another favourite magic book. I'd like to call my favourite fantasy book, Key to Rondo, a bit magic.

the book dragon was pretty cool

and there was this story about a girl who saves a fairy but i forget the name.. those two are good books but book series? i would have to go with HP first because it kept my attention for 7 books. but after that probably the hobbit and the lord of the rings books

not that i like them so much but because it is the closest series that i have read (at least partially read) to HP. I am more of a horror story person myself so HP was something different for me.

Other than HP it's a toss up between Narnia and The Once and Future King by T.H. White.

Artemis Fowl is quite cool, but it's not in the most classic way magical.
So... Earthsea is pretty cool too.
