Who here has read this book?

I had to read it in my Language Arts class, and it was terrible. It was one of the most boring books I read in my life. Mad Shocked

Not really strange. A lot of people liked that book. And some people don't. It's a matter of opinion.

It could have something to do with the way your teacher presented the material. That happens a lot. Just a thought.

I have.. It was not one of my favorite..But it's sooo much better then a book I had to read in my High School English class called "The man and the sea." it is honestly 98 pages of a old man on the sea doing nothing... The book is about 100 pages long. It made me.. crazy Crazy

The Old Man and the Sea? The book doesn't have much action but I enjoyed it.

Anyways Animal Farm was one of my favorite books I read freshmen year, did your teacher go over the deeper meaning, rather than just talking animals running a farm?

Yeah, he talked about deeper things about it. How each Farm represted a country from WWII, and how the animals weren't supposed to represent animals.

More, but I forget Wink

I read this last year as a freshmen in high school, and I didnt think it was that bad. Like I read East of Eden this year in school, and that book was bad haha.

My teacher also went on about how everything represented something, but I cant remember. It is a very forgetable book.

Yeah by Steinbeck. My teacher said it was good too, so I was excited. But when I read it, I was like "Wow...this book sucks." It has no point, and for me, the characters were hard to get into.
