Lily told James she wouldn't go out with him if it was a choice between him and the giant squid. well...she didn't go out with james for a long while. so she must have gone out with the squid! I can imagine them nice and cosy at madam puddifoots...awwww.

Most people don't know about this, but they did have a relationship! Very few relics remain, but this one still does! The Giant Squid was the one who Lily compared every man to after that. Noone ever measured up.
Not many people are very receptive to the charms and wit of the Giant Squid, though.

I dont remember that part... I also don't remember Tom Hanks in that movie. I think I'm remembering the wrong movie.. No, wait, I'm confusing two movies and my brain turned them into one, big, awful movie.

lol, Tom Hanks was the star of that film . . . Although, I don't have to say that I never realized he was able to breathe under water.

| I think the whole thing came to a head when James gave up and started dating a mermaid. Both Lily and the Squid got jealous and the respective couples were formed. The Squid and his Mermaid will likely be JKR's next book seeing as we already have James' and Lily's tale. |
