lol, me too! Well, I had to wait a month for GoF, but it wasn't really very painful . . . Learning that I had to wait another three years after GoF for the fifth book was extremely painfuly, though!

When I got into HP, the first 4 were already out. OotP was the first one I had to wait for as well. I can't believe it was 5 years ago.

Wow, I was 11 turning 12 that summer. I had just gotten into Harry Potter months before, and only had to wait a few months for Order of the Phoenix. Ahh...the memories.

Wow, so many youngsters. I'm not one anymore. I grew up in the Star Wards/Indiana Jones era.

But the Potter books made me feel like a kid again, one of the many reasons I enjoyed them so much.

I remember jk said before it came out that somebody important to Harry died. so I first skipped to the last page to see who was on it lol. not really a spoiler but it put my mind more at ease. I've had better willpower since then though and didn't look ahead.

o gee i remember that too. i remember wondering who it was, then someone at school in the middle of class called it out or something. every single potter book was ruined for me except DH (i didn't let anyone tell my anything about that one until i'd finnished it)

I didn't look . . . which is weird for me. With most books, my piqued curiosity gets the better of me. I never looked ahead in the Potter books, though. My best friend insisted that I shouldn't when I first started reading them, so I just never did.

I knew about the death, and I knew that she was devastated about it. I spent the whole book wondering when it was going to happen. Then just when I forgot about it WHAM!! It happened. It was horrible. I cried crocadile tears about. I think the shock is what mostly set me off.

This was the first book I had to wait for also. It was also my first midnight release party! Now all the Harry Potter release parties are over. Sad

But I still have Breaking Dawn and Brisingr!
