So... I got my copy of Entertainment Weekly in the mail today... and on the front cover, front and center, is Daniel Radcliffe dressed up in his GoF Tri-Wizard Tournament gear. Alongside him is Buffy, Edward Scissorhands, Maggie Simpson and a few others. I was like, oooh, this is gunna be a good issue. Sure enough, this is Entertainment Weekly's 1,000th issue.
They have lists of the 1000 bests, including movies, tv shows... and books!

For the top books they have...
The 100 best reads from 1983 to 2008
1. The Road , Cormac McCarthy (2006)
2. Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, J.K. Rowling (2000)
3. Beloved, Toni Morrison (1987)
4. The Liars' Club, Mary Karr (1995)
5. American Pastoral, Philip Roth (1997)

For the top authors, they have, of course...
1. J.K. Rowling (46%)
2. Stephen King (30%)
3. John Grisham (10%)
4. Cormac McCarthy (8%)
5. Toni Morrison (6%)

Front Cover...
Spoiler:

If you check out the issue you can also see little blurbs about them... including one where EW tries to decide if Daniel Radcliffe was casted properly.

Ooo! The cover has Edward Scissorhands on it. But most important, I didn't know GoF was liked so much. I would have expected at least OotP or PS.

I was surprised, as well, that of all f films this was was singled out. But the blurb explained it well. It said somehting about how Harry was taken out of his innocence and put into war in this film. It was a turning point in the series and that was why it was singled out as being the top film.

It was the highest-grossing yet. Much more then the Order of the Phoenix. But the problem was that they cut too many things, they called have won more % if they put in just more parts.

What category was Edward Scissorhands up for? Best Show?

Yeah, I thought that was the best part. I mean, HP wasn't recognized for their movies, but very rarely is something like books given front and center exposure like that. I thoought it was great.
