I read this book at school, and I thought it was pretty good. It started out kinda lame, but got better more into the book!

I remember reading back in middle school. I really didn't like it. Everyone always seems so shocked when I say that.

omg I HATED it with the passion of a million desert suns! Read The Moon is Down instead if you want Steinbeck (haven't read the grapes of wrath soI have no comment on if you should read it or not). that book was amazing.
