so here is the problem:
I'm seeing one guy but he's 15 and I'm 16 so he's younger than me.my friends dont know about our relationship cuz we date secretly.I think they won't ''approve'' it Rolling Eyes I mean in our school its total disgrace when a girl dates with guy from a lower grade.I really care about him and I should probably tell them but I dont know how... Sad
so I wanted to hear your opinion...thanks

i have dated some guys younger than me, mostly because i was among the oldest in my class at school and no one had a problem with that

i dont get why ppl have prejuices about girls dating younger guys, thats so very stupid

the fact that in most cases when they are teens the guy is the older one is because girls mostly mature before than guys, but that doesnt mean there cant be exceptions and it can still work other ways

so my point here is, dude, keep dating him and explain the situation to ur friends, tell them that u really care for the guy, if they really are your friends they should understand

and besides, just a one year difference? who makes a big deal out of that? Confused

Dude, he's only a year younger than you. I know it seems like a big deal now, but in the grand scheme of things it will never matter much. Who cares what your friends think? They are apparently not very good friends if they don't approve of your relationship with a great guy who you care about. You shouldn't waste your time with people like that. Plus, if they turn out not to care, then you'll know that you've got a good group of friend. If they do care that he is younger, then you'll have a much better time eating lunch with your boyfriend. You'll be happy that you chose him over them when you're older. After all, a real friend never makes you choose unless you're in a relationship with a guy who is actually harming you.

A one year age difference is not a reason to keep a relationship secret. Is he nice? Is he good to you? Those are much more important things to consider when dating a boy. As long as it's legal, it shouldn't matter.

I've dated boys one or two years younger than me. They ended up being less mature than I would have liked, though.

When in doubt just ask yourself, "What would Harry do?"

If you're worried about you will look to people, maybe you need to re-evaluate the situation?

If you care about him and he cares about you, that's all that should matter.

oh red hot chili... i thought ur prob was that he was fifteen and you twenty five...

a one-year diff is ok. who cares about what others think if you really care about him anyway? its very important though that he treats you well too and isnt simply using you to boost his ego. if he cares about you too, then i see no problem.

First off, if you really cared about him you wouldn't be hiding your relationship from anyone.

You said First off, but then didn't mention another point.

Usually when you say First off, you have something else to add.

(First off ... Secondly ...)

I agree . . . It sounded like you were going to list a few things.

Oh oops. Yeah well I can add the second part I guess.

You shouldn't be afraid of dating a younger person either. If you really like them that shouldn't stop you. And if it does, tell the person telling you that to fuck off. It usually works.

Somone may of already, i'm tired and haven't read all responses, given you some response that marrige is only a few years apart. But you are looking at it from a high school teenage point of view.

I've seen girls date guys younger at my school and i must admit its different. its normally the other way around. But if you truley like each other then i see no problem.

Fun little anecdote from GinnyX:
When I was in 11th grade there was a really hot boy in the ninth grade. A few of my friends thought he was hot, too. Two of them dated him that year. One of them was in 10th grade, the other was also in 11th grade. Unfortuantely they found out they were dating him at the same time.... so neither of those relationships lasted long.
