I just don't understand her claim that she is leading in the popular vote count. She says she doesn't want to disenfranchise the voters in Michigan and Florida, but what about the millions of votes, including mine, which were cast in caucus states? She seems to be ignoring those votes when she does her math.
I had a lot of respect for her before these primaries, but her misspeak regarding "obliterating Iran", her misspeak about being under sniper fire in Bosnia, the confusing and unnecessary comment about the Kennedy assasination and the primaries continuing until June, and now this new claim...I am hard pressed to believe that she is the best person to pick up that phone call at 3am.
I really hope that once she acknowledges the math that everyone else is acknowledging, she'll help rally the Democrats together before the general election...that is, if she doesn't jump the Democratic ship and run as an Independent. That would be crazy. |

im not quite sure how this is working out, but from what i heard on bits and peices last night on the radio, is that she might have support of the super delagates. also, polls have shown recently the huge recovery of support from the dem party. _________________

Hence why it is called the "news" and "politics" section... _________________

Better than one topic for everything electoral. We need to keep some subjects separate.
In any case.. I need to start watching the news more often. _________________ The Most Popular Book in the Whole World |

Hillary's math looks a little something like this:
Of course she's going to claim she has the popular vote lead - she claims she won Michigan when she was the only name on the ballot. _________________

Like I said before. Obama took his name off the ballot. It was not Required that they take their name off. I just watched CNN today and they said that It was not against the DNC's rules or Michigan's rules. So I dont see why everyone is saying that he should of gotten what he got. He chose to take his name off and Hillary did not. Those votes that he 'got' could of been for the others also. So it was not right.
Btw.. She did win Michigan.. _________________

Clinton agreed to take her name off the ballot as well, and she didn't. She fought dirty. Not only that, but to claim that Clinton 'won' any votes in Michigan is flat-out voter fraud; she was the single name on the ballot. Every aspect of the Michigan primary was completely UNREPRESENTATIVE of the Michigan population.
Just because your whole state was forced into voting for your candidate doesn't mean that your candidate was the most popular in your state. I'm sure you won't be blowing the same horn if this kind of thing happens in the general election giving you the option to vote for John McCain or John McCain.
Voter fraud FTL. _________________

It wont.. Because either way.. I wont be voting. You should watch the news more. Hillary never agreed to take her name off the ballot. I dont know where you get your information but you need to get it straight. She only agreed to not campaign. Obama did the same but broke that promise by campaigning through the internet. _________________

The current argument reverts to AngelPotter's DNC thread, and depending on how you read it, it either goes in circles or hits a dead end. But in an attempt to keep this thread rolling, besides the lack of money, why not a re-vote in FL and MI? To me, that seemed the most fair. Your two cents?
P.S. what does FTL stand for?

It's already been discussed in Michigan and I'm sure it has in Florida.. Neither state wants to do that. I'm sure it would cost to much. But I'm for it.. that way we can prove that Michigan was for Hillary. and stop all this stupid Drama. _________________
