Hamilton Hodell, the agency that represents Emma Thompson (Prof. Sibyll Trelawney) has confirmed that the actress will not be in HBP.

They simply released this quote...

well...they'll probably just say that snape overheard...did we actually see it in the book? *hasnt' gotten that far in rereading yet*

Didn't it occur to the movie-makers that Trelawney should be in the movie? She was in the book after all...

Oh, but then Dumbledore's funeral should be in there too.

And Dobby should have been in movies 4 and 5.

Not to mention Colin Creevey.

And Mundungus.

And Ludo Bagman.

And Marietta Edgecomb.

And Binns.

And Peeves.

And four fifths of OotP.

And three quarters of GoF.

And half of PoA.

Oh, and that the Burrow wasn't attacked in HBP.

And that never has anyone by the name of Nigel learned at Hogwarts, ever.

Gee, maybe they actually don't care at all what happened in the book.

Maybe...

I so agree, all those things you mention annoy the sh*t out of me! They`re just ruining everything! Ok, I might accept that they can`t put everything in the movie, but not put most important parts!? Or add things!? Like Nigel and the Burrow attack! Arrgh! Evil or Very Mad

I read that yesterday and couldn't believe it! I can't believe that they're cutting her from this movie. :/

She has such an important part in this part of the series because of the prophecy and all that jazz. They're cutting all the good and important parts...

They're not interested at all in the plot of the series; for them it's just a comedy about Ron-Lavender-Hermione and Ginny-Dean-Harry, with a little extra dark stuff to make it more interesting.

Im kinda mad that JK Rowling would allow for the movies to make her books seem less inferior.

Her books are amazing and they cut out all the good stuff! Like, in GOF, they didnt add the Sphinx at the end of the maze >=[

And the Twelany thing is stupid. She needs to be in the movie!
