The skeletons were crystals because they were crystal when the aliens were alive. That's just how the aliens were. They went to the city to return the skull because Ox was insane about it, and also to prevent the Russian chick from returning the skull and gaining power for the Soviets.. The evil chick was psychic and was following them, so she could gain the power to learn and control wahtever and whomever she desired.. even other countires.
i think the villian got what was coming to her that is why we dont know everything we wuold get a head ache lol. that lady was a mind read but not so much pychic
