The thestral is kind of creepy, but still pretty.
I've always loved the way a patronus looks.

a hare actually I think. It was in an interview...JK even gave her a necklace with a hare and a moon on it. in lots of folklore hares are associated with the moon.
I saw more of the thestral somewhere...in a trailer I think. the IMAX one maybe...but it looks cool. oh wait it was in one of the clips they've put out.

Have you seen the pic of Harry in the field and the swing set behind him? It's also in the first part of the International trailer. I don't remember there being a swing set like that except for the one in the beginning of the book in Little Whinging. In the pic you can see that he is clearly frightened. You don't think that they put the dementor attack scene in the park instead of the alleyway do you?

no I don't think so...but I think they still screwed it up. one of the tracks on the soundtrack is "Dementors in the Underpass" not park not alleyway. Maybe he's afraid of Dudley? or maybe he first sees them in the park and tries to race them away...idk.

Just because there is sand doesn't mean that its a beach park. A lot of parks have sandboxes in them.
