a mystery and action fanfic of an untold adventure 3 years after Voldemort's death...

The meeting room was certainly a strange place to be in. Across the massive oak table were six men in impeccable black suits, mirrored sunglasses and cleverly concealed earpieces. The other side consisted of robed wizards and witches. The wizards and witches sat stoically, while the Muggles in their comical garb whispered uneasily.
A Muggle, at the end of the table, anxiously cleared his throat. He was a massively built man with dark skin and a clean shaven face and crew cut hairstyle. Despite his large figure, his voice was clear and articulate, yet laced hesitation.
"Do you really expect us to believe, Mr. Weasel that so cal-"
"Weasley. My last name is Weasley," interjected Ron coldly.
"Ah, right, Mr. Weasley. You want to believe that...magic is real? A top 'Auror' who is some pretentious magical hero has been captured by a sworn enemy of the United States?"
"Yes, Mr. Haz-Kialper, I do, although with some, erm, minor disreptencies. That is basically it."

What do you guys think so far? I wanted to write something at would atleast interest me, so I could actually stick with the story and finish it. I was a bit inspired by the book Angels and Demons and wanted to write a mix of magic/espionage/religon. Please review!

Chapter 1:

Alone in her darkened room, this was the one place where Ginny found solace. It had been three months, she thought, three months of worrying and crying herself to sleep. Three months of sleeping in an empty bed in an empty apartment. Ginny pulled herself up and looked in a mirror, her red hair spilling across her back. She saw a pale, empty face of a young woman with a broken spirit and mind and body.

The talks with the American Muggle-run CIA had run quite well, she thought, consoling herself. The director, Mr. Haz-Kialer, has agreed to help uncover information and help the rescuers find out about the mysterious country of Gravezlonia, where Harry was last spotted, yet the group was still in despair. Hermione, after already suffering the death of her parents a year prior, was now pulling of a well-paying yet dull career as an editor. Ron had attended the Minstry Auror Academy with Harry for two years and Ginny for a year before taking an absence.

It was Christmas, Ginny thought, that was when her world fell apart...

I'm totally sorry, but recent medical and school issues have stopped me from getting on the computer frequently enough. The next chapter will hoepfully be out soon, but I can't make any promises.

Thanks for all the positive feedback! After a short lapse of not posting, I'm back on. I'm reading over my old notes for this story currently, and I am seriously considering starting up again.

Ah, last Christmas, it was meant to be such a peaceful time. We had stayed in a wizarding village tucked away in the mountain ranges of Japan for a week, just Hermione, Ron, Harry, and I. After enjoying the seven days of relaxation, it was a day before Christmas Eve. To top off a perfect wintery vacation, we decided to fly, on brooms, to be at the Burrow in time for Christmas. We made the plans as they went along, choosing just to cut through Asia and Europe. However, this lack of foresight caused us to fly into a storm near outskirts of China. We began to pull into a shallow dive, traveling a dozen more miles and we found to be above an unknown country, indecipherable even to Hermione. Suddenly, a streams of light shot up from the ground followed by bursts of gunfire…

Ginny suddenly stopped her train of thought, bolting upright and snatching the bedside phone out of the receiver and dialing a familiar number.
“Hello? Ron? Get me Hermione!” Demanded Ginny, worried that she would lose her idea if she stalled too long.
“Mrph?” Mumbled Ron thickly; Ginny could imagine him lying half asleep on his bed.
“I-need-Hermione,” said Ginny through clenched teeth. “Go be a good big brother a get her. It’s about Harry!” That last phrase slammed all traces of sleep from Ron.
“Er, yea, Ginny. Right away.” After a few minutes, Hermione spoke into the phone.
“Ginny? What is it?” She inquired.
“Technology and magic! I mean can’t they…not work in the presence of each other?” Ginny’s words were tumbling out of her mouth, she was too excited to stop to hear Hermione’s reply. “How could it be Hermione?”
Ginny could imagine Hermione pursing her lips together, putting her mind to work on this problem.
“The Crunavis Cravious enhancement, though I doubt it…”
“Why didn’t you say earlier!” exclaimed Ginny.
“Well, oh, it’s nothing. It hasn’t been used, I mean, it’s not possible!”
Ginny grimanced. Anything was possible given the circumstances.
“Library. Meet me there in ten minutes.”

I'm expecting the next chapter within a few days. Summer weekdays are pretty hectic for me, but I'm hoping for extra time on the weekends.
