u guys probably dont get why shes not writing more. this story is very old and the last entry was Apr. 7 2007. She probably dosen't even visit PF anymore. i wish she would though. its a pretty good story.

Harry’s face twisted from confusion to hatred as he lifted his wand in an arch over his head.

“Harry, NO!” Hermione screamed as she jumped to shield Draco from Harry’s wrath. Before anything could be done a beam of brilliant blue light shot through the room striking Hermione square in the back.

Draco felt himself say Hermione’s name as she fell slowly into his arms. A small gasp of air exhaled from her body, and he heard Harry’s wand hit the floor. Holding her carefully Draco carried Hermione to one of the comforting bean bags that she so sweetly designed for him in his time of need. “WHAT HAVE YOU DONE TO HER?” Draco screamed in Harry’s direction.
“I thought you were hurting her,” Harry said dumbly unmoved from his original position. Hermione’s skin began turning bright red, “What’s happening?” Draco demanded as tears of helplessness began filling his eyes. When he looked up Harry was leafing through a book from a new shelf that had appeared. It looked very old, and Draco couldn’t be sure, but it looked as though the Dark Mark was branded into the tattered leather cover.

Hermione’s eyes flew open and she let out a shriek of pain as a small, circular burn began to form through her clothing where her hart was located. Draco jumped to his feet immediately, “Cataract fresco!” he shouted urgently and a stream of icy cold water began pouring onto Hermione’s wound.
“Found it!” Harry yelled throwing the book aside, “Caustic Paroxysm Avast”

Hermione felt her pains cease immediately, save for the sore stinging in her chest. “Hermione are you alright?” Draco asked taking her by the shoulders.
“Yes I think I’ll be fine,” she replied a bit shakily wiping the tears of her previous pain aside.

Harry saw Malfoy kiss Hermione’s cheek in what seemed to be a thankful way, like he couldn’t be more grateful that she was going to be ok. He was so confused that he hadn’t had time to feel much remorse for his friend and it all kicked in at once. Harry moved forward guiltily to help Hermione to her feet only to see Malfoy’s fist coming straight at his face. He felt a violent pain in his left eye, and the momentum knocked him off of his feet.

“Draco!” Hermione screamed, but Draco could barely hear her pleads; all he could think about was how Harry had hurt her.

Harry noticed that his wand had flown to the other end of the room during the course of the surprise attack, but he barely moved before Malfoy punched him hard in the nose. Harry felt his nose break and blood gushed all down the front of his robes. Harry was full ready to bloody Malfoy’s mouth, but not before Hermione bellowed, “Imobulous!”

“Stop hurting each other over me!” Hermione cried and then waved her wand wordlessly and watched them both fall to the side.
“He tried to kill you!” Draco protested once he regained his speech.
“No I tried to kill you,” Harry spat in response, “I saw your grubby paws on her and thought you were forcing yourself on her.”
Draco threw his hand up in a way that showed he was not surprised, “Of course you did,” he said sarcastically, “Potter the protector isn’t it?”
“Damn right,” Harry began but Hermione interrupted with an overwhelming, “SHUT UP!”
She was now on her feet, and both boys sat there shocked because they’d both forgotten that she was there. “As usual the both of you are being absolutely ridiculous.”
Harry was used to hearing this sort of ridicule, but Malfoy was taken aback by this sudden negative response toward himself.
“Hermione he really hurt you!” Malfoy said in disbelief.
“It was an accident that he hurt me, and it was my fault really.”
Harry and Draco looked at her perplexed.
“I should have been more honest with Harry when he asked me what I was doing in here, and this never would have happened,” she told them sinking back down into her chair.
