No T.R Knight was the guy he called the F word. Washington is the guy who said it. It is so ironic because he might me a bit gay himself. People are soooooooo homophobic that they would use that word like twice or three time might be gay themselves. I personally believe a lot of people (eg 50 cent) might be on the downlow or something. He screams gay to me.
About the open gay relationships in high school. I didn't know of any in my secondary school but there were guys who were clearly gay. in university I know a lot of guys who are openly gay. I tend to believe they start to feel more secure about themselves and thier sexualtiy at that age. _________________ Remember, Remember, the 5th of November |

You're right, I got the names confused, Isiah Washington was the one who kept saying the word. *sigh* I don't like that show, but I am into gay rights so this quarrell they had sparked my interest.

As people get older and more mature they tend to feel more comfortable with who they are and are able to accept themselves for who they are and not what is expected of them. especially in college (university) when thre is a new sense of freedom. Meeting new people from different towns, away from their families and their friends. Some people find it easy to relax and be themselves when away from their "safe zone." It is true that as people mature they do tend to feel more secure sbout themselves and their sexuality. But that doesn't mean that they don't have homosexual desires before their 20's. It is not their fault. It is the society we live in. It frowns upon those who do not follow the norm, like the Dursleys do. Children pick up on this and think that being different is wrong. So they keep it to themselves, it never gets discussed with their parents, and they feel insecure about themselves. It is a very sad cycle that will keep continue until society embraces differences.
I have known planty of people in high school (secondary school?) that were openly gay, just as I knew plenty of people who were... ummm.... suspiciously uncomfortable around the opposite gender romanticaly. And sme of them remained that way through college, too. Homosuxuality knows no age, it can be acknowledged at any age, whenever the person is ready to, whether they're 5, 15, 25, or 55 years old.
Enough of this, let's talk about Harry and Draco... I read a fanfic where Harry is laying down (in a very G rated scenerio... get your head out of the gutter!) and Draco comes over and hands him his glasses. It was very sweet. _________________

^^yeah I read some Harry/Draco stuff like that too where theyre both really nice and sweet to each other.
I though it was good at first and read quite a bit, but then it started get a bit too unbelievabe, even though I know its not all ment to be as if its real lol. I prefer the ones where Draco isn't all nicey, cause I find it hard to imagine him being so sweet =P |

Oh I know, I agree. In the story he wasn't all nice, so when he picked up the glasses I couldn't help but go *awwww*
I also don't like it when he's too mean, because then the story feels contrived. _________________

I personally like adventures, so I look for FF's mainly that concern chasing Dk Lord's, Mysteries, that kind of thing. But they like to throw in romance and if it is done well, then I don't skim, lol.
But I agree with Ginny. My own likes and dislikes aside, I believe in freedom from prejudice for all. Because so many adults surf the net, it would be unfair to not allow romances of all types (though of course not the pedofile stuff ). I still say it is the parents that have to make sure the kids don't read it. |

My all-time personal favorite combination is...
Hermione/Ginny/Luna/Pavarti/Lavender/Angelina/Katie/Pansy/Cho
They make such a cute couple... pairing...pairings... group... savvy? _________________

And let me guess, in the fanfic they have a huge pillow fight. Feathers flying everywhere.... then Harry and Ron walk in.... _________________

Actually I've never run across this in a fan fic but I'd love to see it!
Trust me, Ron and Harry NEVER would walk in though if I were to write it.
lol
But yeah, it starts off at a pillow fight, then I figure they settle down and play strip exploding snaps, then who knows where it could lead.
Well I know where it would lead but I don't think that discussion is suitable for this board. _________________

I had never thought of those two together...
Lily and Alice are having a pillow fight... feather flying everyhwere... then James and Frank walk in... with RiddleisOurKing. RiddleisOurKing stupifies James and Frank....
I still like Sirius and Lupin together. Damn you Tonks for ruining that. Not that I don't like Lupin/Tonks... but I really liked Sirius and Lupin. _________________

Lol, that makes me laugh.
I just have always had this question... Why do girls like two guys with each other?
I mean, maybe this is a double standard question cause most guys like to see two girls but as a guy, I know that we are all major-ly perverted and deviants.
Now, I like to have a little higher regard for women, so is there anyway a girl could explain this to me? It just kind of miffs me. I'm not saying it's wrong, I'd just like an honest answer.
(if you can't give me an honest answer in a suitable board fashion you can always PM me an answer). _________________

I think this is board appropriate... I tried to leave all vulgar language out...
I'm not sure. I don't really care either way. I don't necessarily find it "hot," but I'm not grossed out about it at all. Im pretty indifferent about it.
My theory on girls being interested in guy/guy relationships is that it's sweet. Guys have such a reputation for being... well, guys. Forgetting to call, cheating, getting drunk with the guys, going to strip clubs... getting drunk with the guys at strip clubs. The funny thing is, girls do these things, too. It's a double standard. Just like when a guy sleeps around, he gets winks and nods. But when a girl sleeps around, she's a "sl*t." I think when girls see two guys, it's not necassarily a turn on, but it does give us hope that boys can be sweet and we can't help but to think that these guy's relationship will work out. It's sort of a reminder that there are good guys out there.
Not that all gay guys are sweet. Just like straight guys they come in different varieties. But all we hear from other girls is negativity about guys. So to see guys in a positive light is uplifting.
I hope this makes sense. _________________

Yeah makes sense to me.
Even though it's not always true, you just associate guy/guy to be "sweeter" as you put it. It's more of a perception of the mind, you could say?
Seems to me that it's like, there is the association that if a guy is WITH another guy, that he is past his own ego, maybe? Like he looks past everything else and doesn't mind to have his real feelings open and out there and if they can admit those type of feelings as a male, then that gives hope to us all??
Did I get that right? _________________

Pretty much, I think.
Wow, I think we've uncovered the inner workings of the women's mind. Scary. _________________

I'm sure that is only a very small percentage.
Of course we saw 100% of a man's mind from my posts about the H/G/L/P/L/P/A/K/C pairing.
lol, could you imagine seeing that tag on a fan fiction description? You'd have to click on it just to see who the heck they were talking about. _________________

Puttng that in the tag would certainly attract attention. And once they see what the letters stand for, it'll keep the attention. _________________

Imagine what we'd be seeing if harrypotterfanfiction.com or the sugar quill didn't have regulations? I'm not sure if the rules are a good thing or a bad thing sometimes. _________________
