and how do you get jaw out of that? what happened to the r?
yeah, he was. Sorry, I'm exhausted, so I'm not really paying attention. Fudge introduced him to the PM in the second chapter, and he was the minister of magic until he checked out in DH. So his stint wasn't really that short.
I thought it was the people from New Jersey that didn't say their R's.. then stuck R's onto words that didn't have them?
Car = Cah
Colorado = Colorader
A friend of mine had a teacher like that. In any case, I pronounce it Scrim-yor, but since he won't be in the movie I guess we'll never know. I don't think he was put in for no reason, but it wouldn't have been great to keep Fudge in the first place. :/ _________________

lol, it was an inside joke, sorry! Arabella, Emily, and I were talking about the other night about U's and H's and stuff, anyway, yeah sorry about that, lol.
Don't be sorry. I know that they don't say many letter quite often, and I assumed that you were joking. I actually find it interesting that they don't say their h's most of the time, yet they are adamant about saying herb without a silent h . . . especially around Americans since we use a silent H. Bit-talk confuses me!

Lol, as Arabella said, more than just the Brits do it. I was just saying that the Brits love the letter r. I guess you're right, they do leave the letter r off of words like car . . . but not the annoying way that they do in New Jersey. Scrimgeour has a completely different etymology, though. It doesn't seem right to pronounce it jaw. I could be wrong, but I'm usually right about these thing . . .
As for New Jersey people (New Jerseyans? New Jerseyites? What are they called!?)
They do leave out their r's while adding them to words that have no r's. I used to work as a CNA, and one of the nurses was from New Jersey. We had a resident names Rita, and she always called her Riter. I always called her Riter Skeeter . . . haha . . . I love Harry Potter. _________________
