|
|
I watched the movie for the first time in years last night, I've read all the books and everything, and I thought I'd jot down a couple of mistakes and interesting extras I found. With my luck, they've probably all been discovered, but I'll share them with you anyway.
1. On the Gryffindor Quidditch Team Plaque - Seekers
1969 - R.J.H King (do we know any 'Kings'?)
1971 - M.G McGonnagal (she was a seeker!)
1972 - James Potter
So this means, that unless there was another M. McGonnagal, then the Professor was a seeker! That would definetely explain how she seemed to spot Harry's talent the moment she saw it. And she was also only seeker for a year, replaced by James Potter. Did she get injured? Was Potter just better? Could this mean she felt some level of resentment towards him?
(also, next to it, is Tom Riddle's Plaque for Services to the School )
2. Flitwick looks absolutely NOTHING like he does in following movies. In every other movie, he was dark hair and a moustache. In PS, he's got white bushy hair and a white beard. Maybe he wanted to get with the times and dye his hair?
3. A bit of an error here, but when the post owl was delivering Harry's new Nimbus 2000, while it's in the air, the broom handle is abnormally short. Then, when it's dropped onto the table, it's the proper length again.
(Haha, I'm sure everyone's figured this out already, but Erised = Desire)
4. It was only in the... What? 5th or 6th book that Hermione plucks up the courage to start saying 'Voldemort'. However, she had no trouble saying it in the first movie.
And finally, this is of no importance whatsoever, but Neville has teddy bears on his pyjamas!! _________________ "Just because you've got the emotional range of a teaspoon doesn't mean we all have," said Hermione.

In the books James was a chaser, not a seeker. And him and McGonagall went to school at very different times. There is about a 50 year age difference between the two. Silly film makers.

They changed him after CoS... he looked different in PoA. Perhaps it was the change of directors...
There is a thread on this...

Yeah, there are about a dozen threads on this, lol.

Yeah... they sort of ruined that whole "fear of the name" thing. The fact that she overcomes that in OotP was very important to her charcter, and the integrity of teh books, imo.

awww, I never noticed that before. But, one question, how is that a mistake? _________________

apart from all those type of mistakes there are heaps of other mistakes. like when harry says "WHY DIDNT I SEE IT BEFORE?" hermione is mouthing the words. and another is when they are in the trap door and they all got through the devils snare and ron gets up you can see someones hand holding down the back of his shirt! and there are heaps in the troll part, like hermione is in a different cubical and stuff like that. andi found a fault by the productors, when the snake winks at harry i thought 'i thought snakes dont have eyelids!' and they dont!
there are heaps on this site.
http://www.moviemistakes.com/film1654/page1
from this site it seems that every mouths everyone elses lines!

Yeah, I watched that, it's amazing how the producers could have missed that! _________________ "Just because you've got the emotional range of a teaspoon doesn't mean we all have," said Hermione.

Neat stuff... do you know how hard it'd be to do a movie with no mistakes though? Pretty tough, I'd guess. _________________
