Funny, last night I just started to read the first one. I have the first three in one big book. It sounds really great, though! I like how the author uses his name for the character.

Yea it is, I hear they a coming out with a movie soon. They will be combining the first 3 books into one film, due to the fact they are so short.

Your thoughts?

Trials of death was one of my favorites, besides the last few when everything starts coming together.

Ya, I agree. The ending was weird.

Spoiler:

Especially the whole second half, when he was a little person. I wish he would have been able to talk, tell everyone goodbye.

Yah, I do like how it all tied together at the end where he was looking at himself and the Cirque du Freak where it all started.

eeeeeep Darren Shan<3
He's my 2nd favorite author.

The Darren Shan saga is amazing and is my favorite by him.
The Demanta Series is actually too good..
Procession Of The Dead[his first adult book] AMAZING.

For all of you who like The Darren Shan Saga, if you like Mr Crepsley then you'll love the fact that Darren will be bringing out a 4 part series of Mr Crepsley's life before joining The Cirque Du Freak XD I know i do

ok so now to talk about the book.
Yeah i agree with you all, the ending was a bit of a disappointment and was weird.
But you have to admit , you didn't see it coming LOL.

I'm so happy there is a thread for The Darren Shan Saga XD

Spoiler:

If he could have talked, then he probably told Darren to just go home and then the whole series wouldn't have happened...

I love this series. I'm on Hunters of the Dusk. Wouldn't recommend to children under 12 though, there is some pretty disturbing and gory stuff.

It seems that the books are directed toward a younger audience since the main character is so young, not even 1 foul word in the first book at least (a good thing, but a bit un-realistic). I'm 14 and I just read the first one and it was AMAZING if i must say. Quick reads ( i finished in 2 days) and pretty satisfying. my library is out of the 2nd one so ill have to wait to get it.
