Fred, Remus, Tonks, Collin, and more than 50 others stood hand-in-hand in what appeared to be a cloud. Below them was the Great Hall of Hogwarts where they could see the Final Battle unfolding and above them, there was a bright white light and they could see the outlines of people dressed in all white.
“So this is what it feels like to die,” Tonks whispered, “I’d been wondering.”
Remus tightened his grip on her hand before saying, “Now, let’s watch what we died for be finished.”
The rest made noises of agreement as they unblinkingly watched Mrs. Weasley single-handedly take down Bellatrix.
“Way to go mum!” Fred exclaimed under his breath.
“Look!” Collin called excitedly, “It’s Harry!”
He said this as Harry appeared out from under his Invisibility Cloak and faced Lord Voldemort.
“Come on Harry!” someone cheered.
Remus, Tonks, and Fred all paled. Tonks grip on Remus’s hand was vice-like, she closed her eyes for a moment, then painfully re-opened them, “Please, please, please,” she said to herself.
“He’ll be alright,” Remus said soothing, “He knows what he’s doing.”
Harry and Voldemort were now circling each other. They were talking, but their ears couldn’t pick up the words. They only heard the murmur of speech and the high, cold one getting slightly angry and…
“Is You-Know-Who actually starting to panic?” Collin asked amazed.
“I actually think he is,” Fred said with equal awe.
Some people towards the middle of their line started to chant.
“Harry, Harry, Harry.”
Within seconds everyone else had joined in. Many bobbed their heads to the beat of the chant.
A flash of bright green light interrupted their chanting. Gasps, shouts, and screams erupted from below and themselves. The light faded, and it was over. Harry stood with two wands in his still raised hand and Lord Voldemort lay still on the ground.
All cries of terror took no time at all to turn into those of triumph. Everyone below and in the cloud were jumping for joy.
All of a sudden they were leaving the cloud and soaring upward. They all looked up into the white light and as they reached the white clothed people, they realized that they were; Lily, James, Sirius, Dumbledore, Mad-Eye, and all the other members of the Order of the Phoenix and freedom fighters that had already died.
Each white clothed person took one of new comers into a hug.
“Welcome home,” Lily said hugging Fred, “at last!”
You are pulled from the wreckage of your silent reverie.
You’re in the arms of an Angel; may you find some comfort here. _________________ Bring on the rain,

Beautiful story, I love the perspective and how they meet everyone else at the end. I would really enjoy another chapter focused around the departeds' time in the afterlife. _________________
Thank you. I'll take that afterlife story into consideration, it would be pretty fun to write. _________________ Bring on the rain,
