My friends and I rented the Nintendo Wii plus Harry Potter. I'd read on one of the 'official/mega-review' sites about the game, and how the graphics were gorgeous. They gave it a 7.6. ANyways, the graphics were great but the gameplay was repetitive and sucky. I was especially looking forward to dueling, but there were mayb 20 minutes worth in the whole game. Besides which, your movements have to be millimeter precise in order to cast the spell, or else you won't succeed. Toooootally frustrating. Also, fighting legilemency just amounted to moving your wrist side to side; lame.

I thought there might be some more energetic fighting against Draco, Voldemort etc. but really the game was awful. Anyone else have this experience? I don't trust the big game review sites anymore. In hindsight, they had plenty of ads for the game, so it makes sense that they were biased. I'd love to hear what you guys thought of the game?

BTW, just to be clear - I love HP and have all 7 books, plus a "HP diary" featuring the Hogwarts crest on the cover. This is a knock on the game, not on JKR or the books .

You've adequately sold me on not checking it out... thanks for the heads up!

Actually... I'm pretty stubborn. I'll still probably do it.

First off the game probably sucked because it was on the Wii. Second, I bet the game would be 3x better if you played it on the PS3 or Xbox 360.

I own the game, and I enjoyed it! Sure, some of it dragged on, but overall, it was a good game. I liked how you had to move the Wiimote a certain way to get a certain spell.
