I'm just curious.
Naturally everyone has read the books (or some part of them) and knows about each house.
What made you choose the house you did
In other words, why?
I'm about to choose right now.

I chose Slytherin because it's my favorite house. I've taken a few Sorting Hat quizzes online and they placed me in Slytherin.

Salazar Slytherin built the Chamber of Secrets.

The house mascot is a serpent.

Tom Riddle.. enough said. Wink

Almost all of the Black family were in Slytherin.

Lucius Malfoy! Very Happy

I chose ravenclaw because I value brains and feel myself to be a smart person. plus I love blue, and its luna's house. Usually when I took sorting quizzes it would put me here the most.

Gryffindor, because I value bravery... the kind Neville possesses.

Well, I didn't pick one on here because - I don't really know why - anyway, on quizzes I usually end up with Ravenclaw or Slytherin. I'd probably pick Slytherin, though. In the books they seem to, I don't know, get away with more, I guess Razz Plus I like the colors and the mascot.

Well, I've taken a few quizzes, and I always seem to be sorted into Slytherin. I don't really come off really Slytherin-esque on here, but in real life.. I'm a bit different, I guess.
I chose it because of that, and I love Snape. \m/

My second choice would probably be Ravenclaw. My second choice in quizzes was usually Ravenclaw.. and I think I'm a pretty smart kid.

Gryffindor is my favorite house because it values the same things I do. I also consider myself to fit most of the attributes of Gryffindor, such as bravery and being willing to take action when the time is needed.

Usually when I take quizzes 95% of the time I get Gryiffindor and the rest of the time I get Hufflepuff, probably because I'm also a very loyal friend and sometimes the questions showcase that.

And 'cause Bellatrix in Slytherin! <3

Oh yeah, and 'cause i don't think someone who owns a Slytherin hoodie would work down well in Gryffindor. Laughing

I have joined some greek forums for Harry Potter... a test is required there... And it showed that I'm a Ravenklaw... I didn't expect it... I thought I would be a Hufflepuff, as I don't think that I'm clever or brave or sneaking enough...

i honestly like gryffindor, ravenclaw and hufflepuff about the same because the three have values i really appreciate and the three have ppl that i really like (ravenclaw: luna, flitwick, cho // hufflepuff: cedric, tonks, sprout, hannah // gryffindor: harry, ron, hermione and many more)

but i think i belong in ravenclaw way more than the other two since im neither too brave nor too hard working, but i am smart, so thats why i chose ravenclaw

lol sneaking would be slytherin. and honestly I don't understand why anybody would want to be in slytherin. well unless they think being bad is cool...which I don't get either. I mean...slytherin...you get what you want but at the expense of everybody else. how can you build relationships that way? how can you really get anywhere? I like all the slythies here...but it just really boggles my mind why you'd WANT to be in slytherin, they seem so...mean and greedy and underhanded and just bleh Confused

I think on here a lot of it is just about cheering for the black hats, which is fun. In reality, though, ambition isn't bad. You can be ambitious without being a jerk. I think Rowling just made most/all of the Slytherins in the book distasteful so that there would be a clear-cut group of "bad guys" at the school.

I don't believe that... she just wanted to divide students' personalities into four main categories... I mean, a Ravenklaw is supposed to be clever but this doesn't mean that, a Gryffindor, for example, can't be clever... and Tonk's mother had been in Slytherin but it was not so obvious in her character, was it?
