I love the first one.
I like your work, and it's a pretty good start too.

Oh, and I was just thinking for the first picture and the dandelion picture, maybe you should blur the background instead of the focus.
If it's a more spread out object (like in the first one), it's not too bad to have it blurred a bit (it still looks good). For a smaller object, like the dandelion.. you should sharpen that up a bit, and blur the back, so the dandelion is clearly the focus.

Good stuff!

I like the one with the snow and the piping in the first post, somehow fit together quite well;)

a few tips:
try to get your focus right, i don't know what camera you're using but most digital camera's have a macro setting. you can do amazing things with it.

Take flower pictures when it's sunny. The colours come out better, and it's easier to get them sharp.

Also, this is just my opinion, but i think a flower bed pictured from the top is kinda boring. Try taking a pic of a separate flower from the side, and make sure to use the macro setting for this;)

I think you can become a great photographer, keep it up!

@unmellowyellow: I think what you mean is focus. The area that's sharp can't be afterwards defined. You can only blur things afterwards. Getting something sharp is done at the moment you press the shutter;)

Well, it's best to take macro photos with a tripod. The smallest amount of movement can blur a macro photo.

And it's probably best to take photos of flowers when it's overcast. The sun produces great light, but it's harsh light. The overcast makes the light look more natural. Same goes for portraits outside.

Well I want an actual photography camera, but I'd have to buy it myself & i just dont have that kind of money at the moment. & I think I'm going to take photography classes my junior year. SO that might help me a little.
