It is now the year of 1985 and Preston High is finally opening. Ten long years it took to build this school and it seems to have paid off. Students from all over the world are filing in one after the other. With all the drama and friendship being formed, how will the school turn out?

I think the layout doesn't fit your criteria well. I hear 80's and automatically jump to bright colors and stuff like that. Then I get on it and it's basically black and blue.

The thing is I just picked a random year while making a short Ad. The other is on proboards you can make more than one background. I did, but this is the one I liked the most. The others might be more '80's' i dunno.

It's just the plot thing & that's why everyone comes. It's so people aren't forced to say there from one place if they want to be from another.
Anyone can be a cannon there open characters

Cannons are just for people who don't want to think of a name and everything for there character. It's like a little head start for the people who want it.
You don't have do be a cannon though, only one person has choosen to be a cannon so far.
Also so people know, in the background choices once you join there's even more to choice from!
I added one that actually says the school name!

This looks really cute but..
Not to be mean or anything. there are way to many rules on that forum.. I mean I understand the need for Rules.. but in my opinion theres to many.. I wanted to sign up but that's part of the reason why I'm not going to.
EDIT:
Ok well I read the rules again. Most of them are ok.. but posts being a paragraph long. that's kinda hard.

It's actually not that many compared to other, 'pro-board' sites. A paragraph is only four lines, I don't care how long the sentences are, really.
