Erm... what? I think you might be mistaken... 
EDIT: I'm going to assume you were referring to the actors. The actors were different guys.
Cedric Diggory was played by Robert Pattinson.
James Potter was played by Robert Jarvis
Robert Pattinson as Cedric
Robert Jarvis as James

The picture of Cedrioc I posted was a screenshot from Goblet of Fire. The picture of James was from a deleted scene that was originally filmed for OotP, from Snape's Worst Memory.
