I voted STFU because even though this is in the off topic forum or whatever, I don't think it really needs to be discussed. Yes, some people find it offensive while others not so much but there is so much hatred already, this just seems like a trivial way to try to dredge up that hatred.
Honestly I find it offensive that this topic is even being allowed. How about that?
off topic forum or not, this is a Harry Potter forum and don't see the need for this to be anywhere close to this board. There are plenty of other places on the internet to discuss these kinds of matters.

I don't find it offensive at all. Mind you i am about 12 nationality's including African American. Even before slavery i believe the term "Nigger" stood for an ignorant person. Slave owners started to use this word on them to keep them down i guess. i also think this word had a heritage from the Spanish side as well. we all know "Negro" is a Spanish word that stands for black. So i guess as time progressed the meanings of words change.
Example :
The word Gay. Use to (Still might) be considered "A very happy person".
Like the beginning of Flintstones "We'll have a gay 'ol time."
In the end words are words and if you let it get to you then you are very stupid. A human is a human no matter the skin color, belief, and/or Ethnicity.
There are just people who fear things that are different to them.

Just stating my opinion partner, if you didn't want an opinion then why post stupid questions that warrant answers that you won't like?
I am simply asking why this kind of topic is even being discussed on this board. It seems really out of place and with the younger fan base that could be visiting the forums, I don't see the reason to try to subject them to something like this, even if it is just a meaningless discussion.
And why even put the STFU on there if you didn't want someone to select it. Maybe you should check yourself at the door before you start jumping on people's asses? And you're supposed to be a mod?? please...

This is the off topic forum therefore anything goes. Once something becomes out of hand, or other members have problems with it, or if it just starts becoming useless spam it gets locked. I know you know what I'm talking about b.c you have locked topics multiple times for the same reasons.

I'm not going to delete it, because members feel as though this topic needs to be discussed so I'm leaving it. I try to make members happy and run site fairly at the same time. They sometimes clash, and this is one of those times.

Was it proven it was/is a joke? Maybe Rorschach actually believes it.
