i dont know
much as i would love for harry potter to go on
i think that now jkr has said that is the end of the series, that she'll keep to that,
the temptation for her to carry on must be so bad, not for the money or the fame, cos she's never done it for that, but just because for her even more than the rest of us, it must kill her to lose having harry growing year on year...
im sure shed love to write another harry book and then another and another, but where would it end?
voldermort is gone, and wizarding world or not, the booksjust wouldnt be the same without that central battle between him and harry would they?
i dont think so anyway.
so no i dont think she will write anymore...she might well be drawn into the temptation to do spin offs and im sure at some point another author will try to do an unofficial one, but really i have the utmost respect for her sticking to what she alwaus said of having 7 books and that being the end of it.
we'll all miss new harry books...but we got our happy ending didn't we?
i reckon its a probably a good thing she quit while the going was good:)
much as we'll always miss him:(

I do not think there's going to be a book about Hugo, Rose and James/Lily/Alb, since things are going to be pretty boring then. I am thinking - and yeah, god damn hoping - for a Death Eater book. For when Riddle - James/Peter/Sirius/Remus were on school, and the aftermath... Lily's marriage etc, the Death Eaters' deeds, Snape's game, Bellatrix's mania with Voldemort and the Black history. I'd rave to get a book containing at least one of those. _________________ CONSTANT VIGILANCE, SCUMBAGS!
There are a few reasons why she should continue the series, but there are also a few reasons why she shouldn't.
First off, she'd be able to answer the unanswered questions that fans are going mad about not knowing. However, we are getting more and more snippets of information every now and again from that lovely, intelligent, British woman, J.K. Rowling. Another reason she should continue the series for at least another book is that, clearly, she made a mistake when putting Luna and Rolf together. I'm sorry, but it will always be Neville/Luna to me.
And honestly, there's only one reason why I don't think she could continue. And this is most obvious: Fans will only want more and more and more until finally, J.K. Rowling's death. Although, that will never happen because she's a goddess and goddess' don't die, it still could happen and we don't the Harry Potter series to be left with a cliffhanger... Oh wait, that already happened with Deathly Hallows...
Oh well, it leaves more to imagination and more fanfictions can be written. Although, I'm really sorry to say, but I thought the last chapter of DH wasn't the best, but the books itself is most certaintly my favourite of all the novels in the series. _________________ "I reside in the clouds."

IN MY OPINION she shouldn't write more potter books just because she added the "nineteen years later".
If she haden't wrote that and she had kept them with 17 years old I probably wanted an 8th book, has she mooved in time.. I don't want a new one. :X _________________ Nothing can separe me from HARRY POTTER.
Yes, it may be over but that magic world lies in our hearts and minds.
Honestly, I think an 8th book is inevitable at some point, doing something. If nothing else, JKR will die at some point, and when she does, evetually the HP license will be passed to someone willing to sell out for the money. The demand will be there, even 40 years from now, so I think eventually it will happen.
That being said, I don't know why HP can't go the route of Star Wars. If JKR doesn't want to write the books, why not let other authors take a stab. I'd love to see how a Tim Zaun would take a new stab at the universe, mixing new and older characters. Some of the Star War books are blah, but there are some really good ones also.
I have to admit, I'd really love to see a HP tv series. An hour long drama, even with new characters, could be great. That, or I wish they would redo the books, but do them each as a season on television. Books like Goblet of Fire onward where you wouldn't need to cut stuff, and maybe can even add some additoonal background information.
As much as I hate to see it end (and believe me, I cried like a little baby for hours after I finished Deathly Hallows)...it's exhausting to think of another book. How much more could she really do with the series?
I'm sure a spin-off book (or series of books) would fly off the shelves, simply because everyone would have to know what happens next. But as much as I've come to love this story and everyone in it, I feel like Deathly Hallows was the end. All the important loose ends were tied up, IMO, and Harry & Co. live happily ever after, THE END.
I was so sad when I finished Deathly Hallows that I tried to start over with The Sorcerer's Stone again...but it makes my brain hurt to even think of going through it all again so soon, lol.
probly no chance but i heard her new serious might invovle vampires i dk but id buy it _________________ Just because you have the emotional range of a teaspoon
It said somewhere in the very front of DH "...The seventh and final installation of the harry potter series" or something like that. I don't think she's writing another because of that.
I would love to see a prequel of sorts. I would be interested to hear more about the Mauraders, young Snape, the early days of Voldemort , even young Dumbledore.
i dont think there will be an eighth book
but that is just me _________________ yes, it is true i am in love with 78dlsjhs!!!!
Do you believe in magic?
I would love another book! I adore Ginny and Harry's love for each other, and if I could continue reading about it, I definitely would. We could also learn more and Ron and Hermione's relationship. Who knows? It could even go as far as THEIR children growing up! _________________ Ginevra Potter
I think the purpose of making an Epilogue was for J.K. to kind of wrap it up and let readers know, "I'm done".
Although I think this is true, I hope there is something Harry Potter related to be written in the future. I wish there was a way for people to see the handwritten Prologue she did about Sirius and James.

actually you can read it on mugglenet.com. i did.
i wish JKR would write another book, but i just don't think she would. maybe something still in the Potterverse, just the next generation or the previous one or how voldemort became the twisted headcase that he was. _________________
