Fang was a scientific experiment that luckily escaped the terrible place where he was expirimented on every day. Fang looked like a normal 16 year old boy except he was 5 times stronger than an average man, He also had long black wings that resembled a cloak when he was not flying.

Fang escaped to a small town away from the scientists he his in an abandoned home hoping no one would find him, one evening he was out in the woods walking until he bumped into someone."Sorry." he said nervously.

Kaitlynn had just landed in the forest when someone walked into her. She fell with a soft thud as she hadn't gained her balance from landing. Getting up she said, "It's okay."

Fang gave her a quick nervous smile and continued to walk deeper into the woods as he thought of where he should fly to next, plus he did not want to read her thoughts, that is another power he had and could not control it just happend...

He doesn't even know me and he's scared. She thought. Sighing she looked around the forest.

He stopped and picked up on her thoughts, and then sent her a mental message. I am not scared, i am just nervous... he continued to walk.

He stopped and sighed, "Nevermind it." he said softly and began to walk but slowly.

She caught up with him, "You can't just telepathically talk to me then not tell me why." she smiled slightly.

He returned her smiled but looked ahead. "I just don't want to talk about it, it will awake old memories." he said and looked at her his dark brown eyes sparkled.

She nodded, "I know how that feels." she said "You ever feel that you can't get close to anyone?" she asked before she could stop herself.

Alex had escaped from the same facility. He looked exactly the same as Fang, it turns out they were brothers before their DNA was implanted with avian DNA.

He swooped down for a landing in the forest, calling out with his mind. Fang, are you here?

Kaitlynn heard something land behind her, "Uh, I'm going to go." she said running deep into the forest. Once out of sight she jumped and flew further into it. The difference between her and the others was that she didn't have visible wings.

He heard Alex in his mind, yeah im on the path. he said telapathicly. then he sent a message to jenn, please do not leave it is only my brother Alex, please we are just like you. he said.

Alex stepped from the grove of trees and onto the trail.

"Who else is here?" he whispered. "I sense another being, a girl."

(( Yea, I read all of them except the Final Warning. I read the first few pages of FW and it was just okay Confused

It is a lot shorter than the other books.. ))

Kaitlynn heard the message, Just like me? Riight.. she thought sarcastically, knowing he'd probably pick that up too. She did a sharp turn and flew above them, jumping into a tree near Alex. "hi." She said, looking down towards them.

She blushed slightly, "Thanks." she smiled then looked at the other man beside Fang, "Alex right?" she asked, already knowing the answer.
