Well, that movie was based on a book, so it's really the book you're critisizing.
I didn't hate it, but I didn't like the ending when...

Spoiler:

the girl dies. I had tears streaming down my face. But I don't hate the movie/book because of that. Because then I'd have to hate the HP books for the same reason.

Often memorable books, as Fahrenheit 9/11, when are taken to cinema leave us puzzled due to the lack of creativity.
Other bad movies I warn you to watch: all Mel Gibson's ones.

And that's not all, son. It's very UNAMERICAN. We don't need no lies been spread about our great nation. Damn that Michael Moore and his keg of lies, trying to misinform the people of this world. Us true blues know better than to believe that rubbish.

God bless America, son.

Son, have you seen a movie called, The Patriot? It just so happens to be one of the greatest films of all time. Mel Gibson is a mighty fine fellow, who's acted in some mighty fine movies.

God bless America.

Wait - Fahrenheit 9/11 wasn't a book, it was only a movie. There's a Ray Bradbury novel called Fahrenheit 451 (which is excellent), but I don't think Fahrenheit 9/11 had anything to do with it rather than a play on the name.

Oh, yes, I got confused.
Bradbury's book is very good, but I think they also made a movie, which I suppose isn't so good.
As regards to Moore's film, is quite good. I don't like when media attacks only Bush, I prefer general attacks to all political system and companies.
For instance, Moore's film showed american soldiers are a group of killers who don't consider poor Iraq's people as human beings.
And the patriot demonstrates Mel Gibson is rubbish. Perhaps americans are proud of the former land owners who overexploitaited slaves, but for other persons is unacceptable. Land owners who didn't like taxes but loved profits and started a war in consequence.

mm. my least favourite movie i have ever seen was "dreamgirls"

i really did not like it at all. i thought the songs were way to slow. especially that song that that girl (sorry i dont know her name) sings when they replace her. it went for like 6 minutes. and it was just repeating the same lines over again. i gave up on the movie half way through which is something ive never done before. lol.

i know heaps of people loved it. but i guess it depends on what you like.

It got such amazing reviews and so many awards and everyone loved it.
Unfortunately, it set my expectations so high... and they were not met. It just wasn't as good as I thought it would be. I didn't think it was awful.... but I didn't think it was wonderful, either.

I think you're just jealous that America is 10X better than your country.

The movie was about America getting freedom from england. There was more than taxes that led us into a war. Learn your history then come back. Instead of trying to say "OMGZ THE AMERICANZ ARE THE DEVL'Z!" But in reality only know very little but try to make it seem like you know more.

No, the film wasn’t any good. It painted a false picture of the American Political System, son. America has the greatest political system ever. I know it, you know it, and even your own mamma knows it. There’s nothing wrong with America, son. It’s the most perfect place in this whole entire world. Only them fools go around believing all this anti-America propaganda. Us Americans have never done anything wrong in the history of our great Nation. Our Presidents have all been of the finest quality. We are the only Great Nation to have never had a dishonorable president. Our companies are top notch. They be building us a better tomorrow. We invented everything this world holds dear. If it wasn’t for us, you wouldn’t even be here. So listen here, Son, you better treat my country with the respect and courtesy that it deserves.

God Bless America.

Great Wizard wrote:

Son, now that right there is one of the lies that I was talking about. It’s common knowledge among the American people, that Michael Moore dubbed everything our great soldiers said. What you heard is not what they actually said. Our soldiers were compassionate human beings, who ran into exploding buildings, just so that they could get them Iraqi kids toys back. That’s not something you saw in Moore’s film, because Moore doesn’t want you to know the truth. Our Soldiers have never done anything wrong, ever. Hell, if it wasn’t for us, son, them damn Nazis would have won World War II. So show some goddamn respect, son. You owe your life to America.

God bless America.

The hell you talking about, Son? We freed the slaves. Is that something you’re forgetting, son? In America, all races are equal. In America, we don’t have no separate drinking fountains, In America, we just might elect an African American to become our president, In America, we treat all American citizens with respect. Our country gets along, son. Mel Gibson is a great man, who told us to take pride in our Great Nation. Listen here son, in a hundreds years from now, you’ll be long dead, killed during a drug deal gone bad. Don’t try to deny it, son. I know your type, you be smoking that shit, you into them moon rocks. You can’t hide the truth from an America. But in a hundred years from now, you’ll be long dead, but America will still be here, like it was here before you. And I’ll also still be here, because I’m an American Citizen, and that means I will be able to cryogenically freeze myself, and live forever. Now that right there, Son, is why America, is the greatest Nation of them all.

God Bless America.

Are you kidding? I don't want to be unpolite, but you, USA citizens (because we, the latins, the indians and the blacks are the really americans), really suck. Have you ever thought a little about what happen around you? Or you accept all what teachers and media say?
Yes rorschach, I agree with you. USA political system is perfect. So perfect taht companies provide access to the web to every idiot that believe they lies in order to force others to believe them. So perfect that since 1775 in every elecction people have accepted only two candidates, with no real differences between. So perfect that politicians gather stupid girls (as in sports), give dull speechs, cheering people up. So perfect taht people go in dread of ghosts, as drugs or terrorists, ghosts invented by Hollywood and which have no relation with the real murderers: you.
Even more people, in better conditions of life, with be with me swearing at you if you'd never exist.

As regards your devil-like soldiers, go and ask an Iraq, Iran or Nicaragua inhabitant, or a peasant of any country of the world, how great they are. Yes, they are unique. They have the better weapons and accomplish all the tasks companies command them in order to kill innocent people ans steal resources. Do you you want to reckon? It's impossible.

And when you freed slaves? Oh, yes, in 1865. You needed to made another war. 650.000 americans died. Great. Are you proud? I guess yes.
But what you are saying is an insult to afroamerican people. You "freed" them in order to overexplotaite them in your sickening factories.
And all races are equal in your country you say? I wonder why Malcolm X an Martin Luther King Jr. needed to show what was happwening there. That afroamericans didn't vote, or that pregnant women were forced to leave their seat in the bus to a healthy white. And you killed both this men, and still deny rights to afroamericans. Have you ever visited a prision in your country? Is full ok¡f afroamericans, but they only are 11% of USA population. You suck.

And Michael, although I don't love my counrty due to the poor children and the greedy companies, I really wouldn't want to live in yours.

To start with, all James Bond movies. They're too imperialist, and give a world vision that is false. They're always stiring up the hate to USA enemies: russian, chinese, northcorean. Of course, american are the good.
Then, some Spielberg films like Band of Brothers.

You know what, I'm probably the biggest Bond fan on these forums so you know what, SCREW OFF!

1. Yes he's kidding, ror just likes to stir things up with outrageous comments.
2. I was born and raised in America, how am I not an american? All it means is where you live or were born and have citizenship
3. "So perfect taht companies provide access to the web to every idiot that believe they lies in order to force others to believe them." what??? I don't get your meaning. actually I don't for most of that paragraph.
4. There are lot of differences between democrats and republicans. and there are other parties, but they're not as popular. but if they were, it would be really hard for anybody to get an electoral majority. what it seems like you're wanting is for some radical party to rise to the top. but for them to really succeed other parties will have to dwindle, and they'll end up as one of the two major parties. that's just the way it works
5. blaming us for the sins of our fathers is stupid. slavery, the civil-war and jim crow are in the past, leave them there. I think the reason so many blacks are in prison and stuff like that, well its because things take time to heal. we can't just wave a magic wand and make everything better. but things are improving.

I find hating an entire country for things in its past, or things only some people voted for/decided on/support to be quite stupid. and a waste of time really. its just spreading even more hate. and hate is pretty much the cause of everything you are showing dislike for.

There are several bad movies from USA, they seem to be commited to do it. For instance here, in a TV signal, are always beaming a movie of a woman and her daughter, who has an Iranian husband. The Iranians are bad, Islam is an evil religion and the film ends up with the main character feeling relieved by seeing an American flag. Sickening propaganda.

Anything with Jessica Alba in it.
She's pretty and all.. but she can't act.

- 30 Days of Night was the biggest waste of my time ever. The vampires were scary as hell.. and it was boring.
- Bill & Ted's Bogus Journey was an epic fail.
- Napoleon Dynamite.
- Hairspray isn't the worst thing I've ever seen, but it wasn't as good as everyone made it out to be
Yeah, there are a lot.. I just can't think of any.

This topic included some legitimate debate, however, it has turned more toward flaming and disrespect.
