I've got to make a decission here in a few weeks. I'm trying to decide which console to get. I'm going to upgrade from the PS2 to either the PS3 or the Xbox 360. I'm torn between the two right now. I've been meaning to get the PS3 for ages now, but recently i've seen and heard some things that make me really want an Xbox 360. I'm just now sure which one i should get.
Anyone got a suggestion? |

Well I think you should go with a XBOX 360 or a Wii! Because to be truthful the PS3 aint really all that! And it doesnt even have alot of good games besides Ranchet & ClaNk and of course MAdden! Also that Blue Ray Disc sucks! The movies come out kinda wierd! So I would go with a Xbox 360...Maybe even COnsider the Wii! Its hella fun!  |

Everything depends on what kind of games you like. If you prefer solid RPG games, Playstation 3 is the way to go. Especially with Final Fantasy XIII approaching, together with Star Ocean etc.
If you like shooters, and action games, the 360 is the one you should pick.
As I said, it all depends on what kind of games you like. It might be a good idea to check up and coming games for each console, and decide afterwards depending on your own personal taste. |

Wii is garbage. ( i would know. I have one)
alot of 360 releases are probably gonna go to PC too.

it all depends on what u want it for . . . and how much u want to pay . . well i dont have a ps3 but i do have a wii and a 360 elite i prefer the 360 out of the two dont get me wrong the wii is good but it gets boring after a while . . . . . well xbox 360 vs ps3 . . . . well the 360 does have a lot of bad things . . . when playin the games the drive is extremely noisy and can be irritating . . also the 360 does not come with wireless inbuilt . . u can buy a wirless adaptor for about £59.99 urm about $120.00 i think lol and the power pack is HUGE!!! well thats about all the bad things apart from of course u have to pay for xbox live aswell . . . it has a lot of good features tho . . . the graphics are amazing . . ps3 has blue-ray? so what?! u need a seriiously good tv to play it to its max potential anyway . . . also a360 is a lot cheaper than the ps3 . . well the best 360 the elite cost roughly the same as the cheapest ps3 (40gb) but the elite comes with a 120gb hardrive . .also the 360 has a hdmi cable supplied the ps3 doesnt . . . the 360 has 3 usb whereas the ps3 has 2 . . urrr the 360 is slightly smaller than the ps3 not really noticeable but yeh anyway ive used a ps3 before and its nothing special i would recomend the 360 but hey its ur choice . . .

I would personally go for a PS3. The 360 may be cheaper but paying money for XBOX live every year could put a dent in your pocket. Lets not forget the ps3 does have better graphics and free on-line multiplayer. Most games that come out will be available for each of these consoles unless it's a game like Halo or God of War which belongs to the company(s) itself.

| Yes I'm agreeing with Dark. Because the Graphics on the PS3 are great and the online is free. The only bad thing other then the certain game thing is that if you dont have an HD TV then you have to by this cord the plugs into the TV. But yes in my opinoin the PS3 is a better Gaming System. |

It's his opinion so to him he isn't false. Just because a system is released first doesn't make it the "best". Also, You really think the 360 is cheap? They wind up making more then sony because of the Xbox on-line fee which actually makes it more expensive if you're an on-line gamer. Lets not forget the 360 only has more games because it was released first. Also, Not every game for the 360 was even that good so I have no idea why your boasting so much about a number of game releases for the system. In reality, the best bargain would be the ps3. You will have better graphics on the hdtv and free internet.

You have obviously have NEVER played a PlayStation in your whole life. How the f*** are the games pointless and are for little kids? Go play Metal Gear Solid. Its not pointless and its not for kids. Infact the game is better than ANYTHING on the 360. Fanboys disgust me.

What I find wrong here is that Sony has a lot of pointless games. I'll agree to that. But for little kids? I mean come on. I'll agree with what Bojack said that Metal Gear Solid isn't, neither is Mercanaires, and a lot of others. In my opinoin, SOny actually makes the best series of games.

With what I said earlier, the PS3 sports the free internet and the graphics are mind blowing. And just because the 360 came out first and has a large variaty of selections doesn't mean they were made only for the 360. Most games made on the 360 were adapted to the PS3. I will give credit to Microsoft for the Halo series. But other then Halo the system couldn't sport any of it's own series.

Those are the quotes but the thing is in series is the PS3 beats 360. Microsoft has Halo. PS3 has Resistance which was a great game, and number two comes out this month or next year this month. Now Microsoft did make Bioshock and I'm still curious if they are making a second or not. Sony is coming out with a game called Infamous which looks super badass. So put that one into consideration If you like the series games then go for the PS3. |

The Metal Gear Solid series is not pointless at ALL in fact. The series has the deepest and most involving story in video game history. Saying the PlayStation is pointless and is for little kids is wrong and down-right fanboyish.

If you are going to get one of those consols I would get a 360. Its way better. You can play DVD's with it, which the XBox360 is upgraded with Blue Ray disk also. It has amazing graphics. Its just all around the best.

Quick question, wasn't the Elite the upgraded graphics version of the 360? And PS3 as well does play DVDs along with the exception of all those favored Playstation 2 Games. |

Hmm. I dont think so. I think all of the 360's have blue ray on them, the Elite is only if you want to get a Black Xbox360 instead of the original White.

I'm not hating on the 360, I'm hating on the dumb comment you made! I have a 360 for God's sake, and I think its great. Saying the PlayStation only has kiddie games and are all pointless is just SOOOOOO fanboyish. And saying I don't get out much didn't make any sense AT ALL. I hate fanboys, I think you do to.
