i think snape did it on his own accord because he HAD to do it to protect draco...or atleast that's what i thought at first..

and then...

i read somewhere that the row snape and dumbledore were having was over the unbreakable vow...and snape was arguing that he would break the vow so DD could live...and DD wanted snape to kill him and live on as a spy for the order..

i don't know which one i like better Sad

i believe fully in the second one. dumbledore wanted snape to live. dumbledore was already old...

Snape killed him because Dumbledore told him to. He knew Draco would never be able to kill him so he told Severus to do it.

i voted the first option cause thats what i thought after reading HBP, cause it would it pretty dumb to vote after DH since its so obvious

but i find pretty interesting the third option this dude added

of course now i dont think he's a coward and i know he was really with dumbledore, but at the moment, after HBP, it did occur to me that he might merely be a free agent, who had sort of accomodated himself in a very well position in which he had convinced the heads of both sides (dumble and voldy) that he was faithfull to each of their causes and that when it was time to choose he would go along with the winning side

i really did think that for a long time, it would've been interesting i think
