American Dub < Japanese Original < Original Manga.
While the Japanese show did, in fact, gut the manga, the American version gutted the already gutless Japanese version.

At least the manga version does. The cartoon, eh, not so much. Particularly because my favorite character (Yami Bakura. :3) looked like he was 12.
But the edited version of the cartoon does make him look a lot better. (:
And the awesome Thief King Bakura is <3 too.
As for the poll, I love zombies, but I also love dark and fiend monsters. Shadow Ghoul is <3, and Pumpking, the King of Ghosts is my all-time favorite card.
Edit: Pumpking is third, trailing behind Mirror Wall and Change of Heart.

I'm in a very strong Yugioh mood, and extremely happy that Yami Bakura was in YGO:Duelist 6, even if only for two panels and a chapter title. _________________

i used to like this anime but got bored, specially because, unlike most animes translated in mexico, this translation was awful! the voices were dumb, some lines didnt even make sense nor fitted in the context, really pathetic _________________

That's a shame. One of the new volumes of duelist I got has Bakura licking Pegasus' bloody millenium eye, after having ripped it out.
It's morbid but smexy at the same time. D:
I'm now up to.. 1-5 of the original YU-Gi-Oh manga, and 1, 2, 6, 7, 8 and 18 of Duelist.
18 is in the middle of Battle city, and 8 is the end of Duelist Kingdom.
18 has Marik on the cover, and boy is he insane in the manga. I'm trying not to read 18 until I get all the volumes beforehand. D: SUCH TEMPTATION!!!
But I don't know what's going on! Something about the God Card Ra killing Yugi at some point.
Lemme tell ya, cards games is serious business. Haga(Weevil) was literally saying he'd kill Yugi if he won the duel (since Yugi had staked his only star chip and his life on the duel.) _________________

Back on topic, I fired up my old Duelist of the Rose game for the ps2.
I love packing my deck with zombies. (Pumpking ftw) Makes me feel so awesome pulling out a Great Mammoth of Goldfine, Pumpking and Shadow Ghoul at 4000+ atk/def due to Pumpking's card effect and just mowing down the opponents monsters.
On the other hand, if my enemy has zombies too I have to fight the old fasioned way. : /
Not that I lack the ability to.. I've won duels without drawing the monsters needed to make Pumpking, lol. _________________
I used to have to cute little Yu-Gi-Oh game for my game boy. I used a cheat to get every single card available and I had a blast constructing different decks. I don't play as much, but I still duel my friend sometimes using his cards. I don't watch the TV show or read the books, but it is still some fun stuff. _________________

My deck on DotR is 4/8 magic/traps, 2/8 fairies, 1/8 warriors/beast warriors and 1/8 dragons.

So half spells and traps must be hard to play with, right? To compesate for lack of defensive monsters, I have three trap cards that lower attack and defense as WELL as spellbinding them, so it works just as well. As long as I can stall for Mirror Wall and my Dark Witch/Silver Bowx2/Bright Castle/Malevolent Nuzzler/Mystical Elf effect combo.
Say hello to the 4100-atk fairy.
Keith almost owned my face though because I started out with a hand of nothing but spell cards. I was all "OH CRAP." And started placing traps down like mad. _________________
I think Kuriboh is a "fiend" monster. I'm not sure, I'll have to look it up.
Frankly, Kuriboh is a beast is DotR. No matter how many times you kill it, it will revive at your deck leader, and killing it yields no life-point damage to either side.
Granted, my Gate Guardian pieces Suijin, Kazejin and Sanga of the Thunder do the same thing, minus the respawn, plus they are a great deal stronger.

Those are my monsters.
Goddess + Happy Lover = Dark Witch (Or Goddess a fuse between any of the fairies) Nemurikuko + any of my fairies = Mystical Elf which, when flipped face up, grants my fairy monsters 900 extra attack and defense, which works wonders for my Dark Witch combo.
Red Eyes Black Dragon + Meteor Dragon = Black Meteor Dragon (3000/2700) which can effectively counter the strongest monsters.
Red Eyes Black Dragon + Claws of Bane = 3100/2700
The Gate Guardian parts are most effective when given the field power bonus, and none of them are under 3000/2500 when empowered.
In the offchance any are killed, Crush Card/Hourglass of Life combo to bring back the four strongest monsters in their graveyard, and with Crush Card it effectively smashes the opposing deck.

Tear of the Mermaid is one of my favorites, as it spellbinds and lowers attack and defense, but my real trump card is Mirror Wall. It cuts an attacking monster's attack in half, and the change is permanent. The new atk can also be halved again if it attacks a second time. This is fun to use against Seto and Manadwynn, because they pull out Summoned Skull, Swordstalker, Skull Knight, Black Meteor Dragon and Blue Eyes White Dragon. Manadwynn has a crapton of powerups, and can easily creat a monster with 6000 atk and no field bonus. In which case, I need Crush Card, or my Red Eyes + Claws of Bane combo.

Most of my powerups go to bringing a single monsters up to over 4000 atk, and it's my Dark Witch, because she gets the effects from Malevolent Nuzzler. Still trying to get Metalmorph so I can pull off a Red Eyes Black Dragon/Metalmorph/Claws of Bane combo, but alas.. Joey refuses to let me take it from him.
I don't think I have enough dragons, and I'm trying to get Dark Magician Girl. _________________
