I'm not arguing its deliciousness, ice cream is good. I just don't understand having it when you could have cake AND ice cream. It really boggles my mind why somebody would opt for that, well unless they don't like cake. but that boggles my mind as well (juli and scruffy are insane)

Rofl.

As I said, I just have a thing againest cake. I'm not into deserts that are made with flour and baked and such. I enjoy a good ice cream, sour candies, root beer floats, and the like. Smile

ok, we dont get ice cream cake in England

and thats because the English are truly sensible

ice cream - cake

how can it be a cake if there is no cake?

i agree with arabella on this one

ice cream cake is a lie!!!

Well, based on these two definitions on dectionary.com, ice cream cake can very well be considered cake:

4. a shaped or molded mass of other food: a fish cake.
5. a shaped or compressed mass: a cake of soap; a cake of ice.

http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/cake

Americans are just as sensible as the British. The british always assume that just because they do something one way and people in another country do it another way, they are automatically the ones who do it the right way.

oh no shewho, I agree to you. in fact, it was the presence of ice cream cake that lead me to decided to study a semester in the UK. that and nothing else.

hehe I actually didn't know it didn't exist over there. but now you are all my heroes. VIVA LA CAKE CAKE

and interesting point zen, but I still don't get why you'd just have ice cream when you can have ice cream AND cake. and most people don't think of a molded mass as a cake, they think of cake as cake.

OK, maybe you read my post wrong. It wasn't said in an offended manor, really . . . more of an informative tone . . . I don't know how to explain it.

ice cream cake isn't designed to trick you!! it was a genius invention of combining the two bestest deserts in the history of forever!!
PURE GENIUS I TELL YOU!!!
i would MUCH rather icecream cake than cake or icecream at a party. cake is a bit too spongy for my liking, and icecream tastes to normal compared with icecream cake. plus with icecream cake you can have both!!!!
like i said before... GENIUS!

I have never had ice cream cake that actually had cake in it. THAT would be a good idea, but I have never experienced this.
